| Any good websites to find bar poker tournaments? I regularly travel to Ames, Iowa for work and usually end up in my hotel room after wrapping work up and eating dinner, so I thought I would try to find a bar poker tournament or two to splash around in when I'm able. One of my coworkers plays and holds an occasional tournament, but looked at me blankly when I asked about any bar poker, so that route didn't work. I've tried doing a few Google searches, but usually end up with links to other forums, link spam, pages with lots of keywords splatted together. Any ideas on good places to search? It's a college town, so I would expect a place or two to hold weekly tournaments. Thanks! |

| Lived in ames for 7 years. Been gone 3. Wasn't much of a public poker seen as far as i knew. However, i was back there last year and went to the bar Paddy's in campus town and i guess they do some tourneys every now and then. At least they had a couple tables set off to the side there. There might been an ISU poker club seeing as how they have so many different types of clubs there. Can't help you with the website question. Head to prairie meadows in des moines your best chance. |
