Any Cardchatters plaing in the WSOP 2006?

I am about to try and grab me an elusive place in WSOP 2006 via tomorrow's qualifier freeroll over at Holdempoker, even though I haven't a dog in hell's chance of getting one. It got me wondering if any of the Cardchatters will be in this event? Feel free to brag about it, for the rest of us are not worthy.

I won a main event seat and then realised I was'nt old enough to play!!!! (I'm 20 this July!!!)

Only Kidding how bad would that be??!!!

I almost entered a Satelite though because I was forgetting you had to be 21...

I'm actually more excited about the up and coming WCOOP on Pokerstars because I will be able to enter it!

What does the WCOOP stand for? I've seen it mentioned a few times now...

As for the topic, I only wish. I entered some freeroll tourney's when I was playing on Party Poker but gettting through about 3k people in 2 different tourney's is tough. Closest I got was about 1500th in the 2nd tourney..

You'll see me there. I'm going to win the lottery this month so I'll have enough money to play in all the events. You might see me on Tv rubbing elbows with the pros. Maybe I'll play the WSOP qualifiers for shits and giggles.

Yep, only way I'm going is to win the lottery. Odds are 14 million to one, but someone has to win it. When I do win it, I'll sponsor a few people on here for it, ok? Its only a matter of time till I win it!

If someone from here is actually going to be at the WSOP playing, they should promote this forum via t-shirt, hat, charm, etc. Whether they make it themselves or Nick can hooked them up.

Thanks. Stud H/L is my best game and even if I get my butt handed to me, maybe I'll get to play with some pros. A ton of them played in last year's event. So I'm expecting the same this year. Plus Stud H/L has a very historic list of champions...Doyle, Johnny Moss, Men "The Master", Phil Ivey. I'd love to be on that list!

Well I may have a t-shirt with a friends site on it, but my head is still available. LOL

Nick, if you have a hat, I'd be up for wearing it. If not, I'll at least give the site a plug in my speach where I'm holding up the bracelet and cash.

Just curious, smd - did you buy directly in, or get in via satellite?
if so, where from?
Either way congrats on the entry and GL
even if you don't place, it's sure to be a great experience...but why am i even saying that, you're coming home with a bracelet right?

Thanks Chuck. I'm buying in directly. It's the cheapest bracelet event besides the Casino Employees (which I'm not), $1000.

Didn't do anything special to build up a bankroll or anything, just decided last year that I needed to play in a WSOP event at sometime in my life and saved up the $$$.

The event is on July 24th, so I'd need it in the next few weeks.

Not sure if you have it made up already, but I know last year they were limiting the size of logos on hats and t-shirts at the WSOP. The Stud H/L is probably not going to be televised on ESPN but they may keep those rules in place for all events.

I just checked on worldseriesofpoker.com and they say that logos can be no larger than 6 square inches in size.

I'll send you a PM with my address.

...if I were in the WSOP I'd have to wear my Spurs shirt (the old Holsten one from'91) to show the world my love for the club. Gonna give it another at getting a place at the next Holdempoker satellite this weekend...
