Annette is the sickest player ever...

If it wasn't enough for this girl to start a bankroll from scratch by winning some money on a freeroll, building it up to win multiple 50+R and 100+R, final tabling the WCOOP main event, winning the first ever WSOPE main event bracelet AND winning a 4.40 180 man without even looking at her cards (among other incredible scores), Annette Obrestad somehow found a way to best 19999 other players on yesterday's 10$ buy-in (100K guaranteed) on stars. I mean come on, she could at least let a casual player take that thing down, right?

i don't think i've ever seen her lose a race. ever. not even going to get started on how often she gets in with the worst of it and pulls a rabbit out of her cooch. i wonder if she has any idea how sickeningly good she's run at all the right times?

but yeah, whatever, congrats annette. i hate you

Haha... you're funny.

But yeah, she does get amazingly lucky at the right times. Sucked out when her 88>99 and then 99>TT, all within 10 hands yesterday. Still unbelievable she pulled that win, incredible tournament player.

one of my buddies is always drooling over her stats.... it's unbelievable that someone has made almost a million dollars simply by playing on pokerstars, and that doesn't even include live tourneys and other sites. simply amazing

she is a good player i will give her that but i will have to admit, i watched her couple of times and she got incredibly lucky at the right time and obviously in order to win tourneys you have to get lucky once or twice.

When I heard she won a 180 person sng without looking at her cards I thought about that a lot, how is that possible? She must have folded premium hands a lot of the time preflop. And say she had a below average sized stack going to the bubble, did she really manage to win enough chips by bluffing to get past the bubble?

She may have been playing the bubble aggressively without looking at her cards, but how different is that really from a solid, aggressive player who looks at their cards, sees T6o in the cutoff, then decides to raise anyway?

I'd have thought that would've been the easiest part of the game for her to play - you just need to read the table well and play with selective aggression, the cards almost don't matter. As she demonstrated

The hand history for this 180 SNG was loaded onto some site so you could see her hole cards. She folded KK and some other premium hands, but she totally played position. She NEVER played UTG, not once. She only occasionally stole from the button. She mainly raised from UTG+1, and the hijack and cutoff. After the flop, she would outplay her opponents and almost no one ever made her showdown. She also went all in as a 35-65 dog THREE times and would always hit.
