Amazing Hands on UB

I'm sick of seeing a board on Ultimatebet that feeds four different hands into thinking they have the best one. This might happen one in a million times on a real table but happens every 3 to 4 hands online. What's the deal?

UltimateBetUltimateBet are one of the older rooms on the internet with a great range of games to play and a 111% bonus using the bonus code CARDSCHAT.

Full Tilt PokerFull Tilt Poker is the poker site the pro's play at. US players are welcome - use Full Tilt Poker referral code CARDSCHAT for a $600 bonus.

I like Ultimatebet a lot and I dont think that there is anything that is shady about them. That being said I would have to agree with you as far as how many times it happens.I have noticed it on that site more than any other but I play there a lot too.Anytime you play as many hands an hour as online poker rooms do you are going to see a lot more things like that.It happens at all of them.Good luck man!!!

You're right. It might happen one in a million times at a real table. But pretty much only if that real table is rigged.

Thank goodness you've exposed that Ultimate Bet is throwing one-in-a-million hands at players every 3 to 4 hands. I'm sure the tens of thousands of players who record billions of hands there and and have yet to see that pattern will appreciate your undocumented insight.

Your sarcasm cuts quick, almost as good as mine.
Re the thread poster's concerns, we have the 'Rigged AA debate' here to show how claims of anomalies might be documented. A bit of casual observation over a while does not count, does not prove anything, except a healthy paranoia.
I think anyone who wants to post a 'rigged' thread here should read the AA one first, several times.

While it's got absolutely nothing to do with the original post in this thread, you do know they're in the middle of a super-user scandal and they've had to refund loads of players because security holes in their software allowed some players to see other players cards, right?

As for the OP - meh, you oughta see some of the hands I deal live

I'm sensing your sarcasm Penguin! And I have checked out the rigged debate. But the other day I was dealt KK three times out of seven hands. I did win with all three so there was nothing to be pissed about, but that seems kind of ridiculous. I've played a lot of online poker and a lot of poker in my kitchen and all I'm saying is that I've never had one night in my kitchen where I've seen monster hands at the same frequency (or even close) that I see them online.

The other day on Full Tilt I was dealt 82o three times in four hands. Live, I've dealt people 73o three times running. I know this because they insist on bitching and moaning to me about it as though it's something I can change.

Point is, the chances of getting 82o or 73o twice in a row are exactly the same as getting KK twice in a row. It's unlikely, but if you play enough hands it will happen eventually. The only reason you remember this instance is because they were KK - you're doubtless forgetting the times you got dealt similar garbage twice in a row.

I posted that ref. BTW, there is no comparison to live play in the kitchen and what we encounter online, with the sheer number of hands being dealt daily. No room for comparison, no point to it, unless you sit around your kitchen table for the next 100 years and play very fast, you will never see the hand combinations, beats etc. than you can see online in 2 weeks.

Numbers man, stats. Get back to us in a century or so.

Doh, txs. See all other threads here re scandals, superusers etc. Gettin bloody boring that nobody can stop reminding us all of what we all know already. If you think you are being helpful by informing the clueless ones, send them a PM please. You can send them to the existing threads here, or to to 2+2, where they are pushing 100,000 posts on these issues.
Sticking to the point is not easy, but it is possible....

Even through the Absolute Poker/Ultimatebet scandal there was never any evidence the dealing was rigged.
Sure, there were individuals using "superuser" accounts but that is something completely different.
Indeed, I've personally seen stats compiled by individuals who've recorded and scrutinised hundreds of thousands of hands on more or less every site and am yet to see any statistical proof of rigging.
The largest variation from the mean I've yet encountered (on a meaningful sample) is less than 0.05%...in other words virtually none at all.
The closest comparison I can come up with is the WSOP Main Event two years ago when a player was chatting to Joe Haschem after they kept hearing moans and groans from bad beats around the room. And his response?
"With this many tables you're going to see a lot of that today".
The bottom line? Go to a card room or casino for ten hours and count the number of times bad beats and unusual cards are dealt. Then go home and count the same thing on an online table in about 40 minutes. It'll be about the same and the ratio is probably quite close.
