Am over-reacting? Once again some jackazz starts telling everyone at the table what his hole cards are. I warned him to quit because it was against the rules when he comes back with STFU... after pondering it a minute I understood what that meant and looked for live help at the main lobby. Being at Ultimate Bet there wasn't live support so I diligently noted the time, table and tourney information and sent it to the support e-mail. It seems like no one else at the tables cares about this kind of crap. Should I lighten up and chill or what? I could turn off chat which I've learned helps me focus but it also seems like I'm out of the loop at the table.

Why was he stating his hole cards, if it is to bust out of tourney and all in and let anyone with better hands battle it out I don't see anything wrong with that, I have done it because I had to leave and did not want to sit out as I thought that would be more rude I dunno, however I only did it because I all inned and said I had to go and ppl started asking so I told, If someone was offended I would have stopped. I think I have only been in that position once.

re: Am over-reacting? poker Bottom line is, this is collusion, and I would probably report it as well. The best thing is for them to just sit out, rather than give an unfair advantage. What usually happens is, they end up doubling up somehow, and suddenly don't "have" to go.

In my situation that was definately not the case I all inned with 74 etc and had not problem telling it I wanted to bust out, but if sitting out is okay I would definitely do that in the future, I always thought that was really frowned upon. In my case I meant no harm but I do see that side of it too. I was on a carbon freeroll that lasted longer than usual and had to get to a cc event, lol and wanted out of that one. I cannot multi tourney |

I play a lot of live action and when somebody is telling the table his cards it can be considered against the rules when there is more than heads up action. However, when i see people expose their mucked hands when they shouldn't, or tell others what they are playing I consider it usefull information on the hand and use the info to learn the strategy of that player. Always be digging for info in poker. P.S. sometimes its better to be the silent player. Later & gl

re: Am over-reacting? poker I have been running into this more and more on Full Tilt Freerolls as well. And it isn't players that are trying to go out they are stating their hand to state their hand. I always report the chat but dont know what is done about it. If I get in a position that I have to leave a game I will usually announce an apoligy I gotta go and hit the sit out button, you get blinded out eventually, or I will apoligize and say "Hey I am going all in I have a crap hand someone please take my chips" Usually that is enough to get one or two people to call the hand and very very rarely have I actually won doing that.

What I do is keep all- inning after raises have been made with AWFUL cards. I never say a thing, because it does give an edge to the winning player in THAT hand. It's worth the extra 5 to 10 minutes to be secretly polite. 2,7 and such won't usually catch more than a few times- if that, anyway. As far as the colluders and/ or smartasses: I track them like bleeding rabbits and bust them every chance I get. It's more satisfying then ripping them (which I sometimes can't resist). Ignorant people can't imagine that they are ever wrong. Fish

collusion i'm not sure what it means but i have been in the same situation before, people telling what they have, i never really put much thought into it, i never really let it bother me. Actually i never even really believed what they said, I just took it as they were blowing smoke, and played the game the best i could.

WHen you tell the truth about your hand it is illegal and should not be done under any circumstnaces. Never dump your chips. Just sit out. Part of the problem as I see it, if you are really just getting out, then only players willing to take a chance on your truthfulness will call you. Everyone else that either thinks it is unethical or a possible lie (i.e. you're actually looking for action) gets screwed when your chips go to someone in a sort of "BINGO" call. |

re: Am over-reacting? poker Actually according to WSOP rules and WPT rules it is illegal to state specifically what your hand is, it is NOT illegal to state that you have a good hand or a bad hand before making a call or an all in. So if you honestly tell the table during a hand that you are playing "I have A, 6" then you are breaking the rules of collusion, but if you just say I have crap and am gonna go all in on it it is perfectly legal. And some of the tables I have sat at for Freerolls get more pissed off by people hitting the sit out button then people who announce they have crap and go all in leading to a BINGO style play. It varies from table to table and game to game and I usually take my cues on it from the players I am with. I make alot of notes on players on tables at full tilt since they have that color coding system and a place to write notes and have over 160 people from the past two weeks coded and noted including some of the things they bitch about.
