| Am I the only Bonehead? Am I the only bonehead that inadvertently folds a great hand from time to time? I am usually fairly diligent when playing but I have farked up royally two times in as many days, at the tables. I totally have no excuse other than to blame it on my folding trance. On the one below I’m UTG+1, AQoff I 3 Raise, I get one caller, the BB. Flop favors me with 5QQ rainbow, I go to check after a slight delay and BAM, I click the FOLD button. I’m not one to get angry but I was none too pleased with myself. I have no excuses, although I could blame in on Captain Morgan. Last edited by CAMurray : 31st August 2009 at 10:07 PM. | I think it's a little better than inadvertently hitting the "call" button when you have garbage. That's happened to me a couple of times when my turn to act pulled the FTP window to the front as I was trying to click another window. One of those was an all in against a smaller stack (thankfully). I was pretty embarrassed when the table saw my rags. |

| I never drink & play poker. Really bad combination imo. I'm sure everyone has had a bad misclick or two. Last one I recall, my neighbour was over visiting (first & only time he has while I've been playing online poker... he's an avid poker player both live & online, holds a bunch of tournaments in my area (100+ players, ~$50-75 buyin), has played for 40yrs.+... he's actually visiting to ask me if I want to play a fairly decent MTT he's qualified for via satellite but won't be around to play it and was wondering if I'd play it for him)). I'm in a private tourney on Fulltilt at the time, I'm holding the nuts and have my opponent leading out on the river with the remainder of their stack.... and I 'fold'... LOL. No,.... I didn't play the MTT for him, lol. |

IMO it's much better to give up neighbors than drinking, you can never really count on your neighbors. |

| I accidentally folded tonight at Full Tilt...Q3...would have given me the win with a Flush! I was trying to play 2 tables at once & could not get the split screen then! On Ultimate Bet, I've pushed 'enter' to comment on someone's hand and, low & behold, I've gone All-IN! Once for over 14,000 chips! OUCH! Lesson learned...esp. at UB, I look to see if I'm next to bet before I push 'enter' to chat! I guess it happens to all of us from one time to another though... |

| re: Am I the only Bonehead? poker I was on the phone when i folded a full house on the flop. Kept trying to make my correspondent hand up and had become fixated on the tactics of outing this opponent that i failed to see id become a victim on what really mattered. |

| I've done that before, too. Can't blame it on drinking, though, because I don't drink alcohol anymore. Haven't for years. Anyway, I think it was because my time was running and I got in too big a hurry the last time. It bites but that's part of online poker. In a live game, you wouldn't run into the misclicks and timing errors. I stagger my windows when I play multiple tables, but when I am in a tournament, then a new window often pops up where I don't really want it, so I have to be careful and move it over when I catch it. |

| Pre-flop folds... I've hit the all in button by mistake a couple of times or called with a medium hand against an obvious full house... however; I tend to fold muck hands, only to see the full fouse on the flop, or junk low suited connectors only to make the flush against a guy holding AKo. If it's not that I win, or would have won, the pot had I not folded my pair 4's! |

| I was playing 3 tables once with the windows all at max size. I folded pocket aces because another screen popped up. Ugh. Not an alcohol induced fold but pissed me off nonetheless. So from then on,like Muckets said, I stagger my windows. |

| re: Am I the only Bonehead? poker I've had it happen from time to time, especially when multi-tabling. More often though I timeout on a premium hand at one table while being focused on an AI situation or something on another table. Eventually I see AA on another table and reach for the mouse just as it folds itself, which is highly frustrating. And all of you mentioning folding a hand that would have made the nuts on the flop should console yourself by remembering that of the major sites, only PokerStars uses a set deck, so anywhere else you would have seen a different flop anyway. |

Thats what I was wondering I have always had a box come and and say you dont have to fold you can check. Unless they are saying that the BB bet and then they hit fold accidently |

| Actually, the one time I remember folding on accident when I had a great hand, was actually a blessing in disguise. Turned out that one of the other players ended up catching something ridiculous that would have beat my hand completely unexpectedly and probably would have taken me out had I stayed in. Some poker God was watching over me. |

| Everyone has days like this, I was at a 2/4 cash game and the pot excalated a bit once person all in and then me and another player left. Well I end up only with a pair the all in player has a flush, and the sidepot player has a lower flush, well the supposed to be winner of the side pot muks his cards after seeing the high flush of the main pot winner so I end up actually making out a on the hand. We pointed out his mistake and he thought he still got the pot, (he was a new player) but a mucks a muck i won the side pot |

| re: Am I the only Bonehead? poker I have been there and done that also. Seems bad, but concentration is lost either playing way too many tables, or, you are in the auto fold mold with junk and accidentally hitting the wrong button. |
