All in on a draw
How many ppl would really put there tourney life on in a draw, but a big one, not your typical 9 outs, but i'm talking about 15-17 outs, I personally have seen people do it, but everytime I do it, it just seems to fail, like just recently I went busto in a tourney on stars, but the thing was I had 15 outs, flush draw plus the 6 over cards, now that being said. I think it was 50/50 but I could be wrong, 10s vs, kq suited flop was 2 of my suit, I pushed he called, I missed, w/e, I would like your input on this, because it's made me lose sooooooooooooooooo, much tourneys, and I'm just fed up of doing this move since I lose more then I've won with it.
Another question about draws in themselves how does one really know if all his cards are clean, for instance look at what happend to me above, how do I really know that no-one else has any of my cards, you get what i'm saying since it's a full table would'nt the odds be against me to have all my cards being clean? I hope you all understand what i'm trying to say ![]() |

i would do it as a last resort. say if my M was 10 or under, and my positon at the table. how many others are yet to act, and how close i am to the money among other things. but really i would not do it if i had felt i had more time and/or chips. its not worth it imo.

ok you have QQ, villain shoves preflop, accidentally flips over AK. Would you call for your tournament life? Scenario 2: opponent flips over AK, doesn't know you see it, you have QQ, would you push?

It depends whether or not you want to risk it. Chris Ferguson said he tries to stay out of coinflip situations before he gets to the money. Or depending on your stack.
And for the all in on a draw, if you're getting good pot odds then you can do it, but you shouldnt push 5000 into a 250 pot on a draw for example. |

I only like to push on draws like nut flush draws with like straight draws in there too or open ended with flush draws. Im not to big on pushing on draws unless i have a big chip lead and im up against some one who has like alot less chips

i do it fo sure at the begginning of a tournament, get a big chip stack or go home, and fifteeen outs, i'd do it one place before the money too, so get em in there, you only live once...p.s. not a professional, have no buisness giving advice...

Like others say it really depends on the tourny situation. Usually I would probaby not flip for my tourny(cash obviously I call or push). Scenerio 2 I dont fold ever though, I at least check or limp(or whatever the non psuh scenerio is) since there is definetly value in playing this hand since he misses the flop 2/3 of the time as we know those 2/3. |

I had this situation today and the push worked for me, but ordinarily, I consider it to be situational.
I had KcQc & the flop came TcJc2o. Four A's & four 9's gave me the nuts, plus the 7 remaining clubs for a strong flush and the two overs (but I really didn't want to see those). I was utg and made a 4bb bet & the bb pushed. No raises pf & early in the tourney so I had no read, but even if he had JJ, I was only a 42:58 dog. I called, he showed 22 & 8c hit the turn & I doubled up. This was early in a MTT, but if I'm close to the bubble & shortstacked, I lay it down waiting for a made hand. Of course by that time, I have more reads to work with so I (hopefully) know if he's just trying to buy the pot, or if he is trying to price out chasers with his set. |

To answer OP, if you have a big draw(straight and flush draw that all seem to be good for isntance) then you gotta play it hard, not only are you a slight favorite usually but you have FE against hands you are flipping with. It is like a coinflip but you automatically win some of them.
