Hi all,
i just signed up and wish to send you all my sincere thoughts at this trying time at what is going on at the moment within the poker industry especially with united states players and with the FBI not only taking away your rights but also the international poker communities rights as well. i will like to firstly introduce myself as brent, i'm a poker player from new zealand and i love texas holdem. the reason i love internet poker is that it gives me a chance to play with all kinds of different players around the world and at the the moment with the americans away from the tables the game doesnt seem the same.
the game is texas holdem, and correct me if im wrong but doesnt it originate from america?, the land of the free. it just seems funny to me that there own leaders of there country is trying to take what they gave the international community "a game the world can play" and in my eyes bigger than any sport or hobby.
when the flop/turn/river comes on the board these are called community cards that we can all use, not cards that the fbi and congress can use to seek 3 billion dollars from. in a way that 3 billion dollars they are asking for is actually money that we have all contributed too and where is that money going to come from, but us.
in our country when we buy a lottory ticket we pay with it with the money we have earnt which has already been tax by our government and if we win that money is all ours not tax again on the winnings. In my eyes it seems that the american leaders wants two bites of the cherry.
I said above that its affecting the international poker community as well or maybe just me i dont know, but i will explain how. i play at full tilt and at pokerstars. About 3 weeks ago i made a withdraw from fulltilt poker which i recieved the funds within 48 hours through my netteller account. the amount was in the range of $500 US. Last wednesday 13th april i withdrawled $1500 US but fulltilt has yet to process it. Its been 7 days now (just remember we are a day ahead of you lol). i have written to them asking for the reasons why but in my eyes they havnt given me an honest answer i will paste the transcript of the e-mail below plase read bottom up.
So when you read the below e-mails this is why i think its affecting the whole poker community not just the americans my heart goes out to all americans and hope to see you all at the tables real soon.

ps if any american poker player needs a bed look me up, you can play online poker in this country.
