Alex asked if there was anybody who spoke Spanish who could tell him where the password could be found. Monoxide asked if he spoke French. In Spanish I told him "Hello. The password is here." Who are "we" and why do you think only English speakers are allowed? English is a guideline, not a rule, and the great majority of posts are in English. I doubt that Alex is going to be doing a lot of posting here, but the password is available for anyone who joins even if they don't speak English.

My bad, just my sense of humor which quite often gets taken the wrong way, I was just trying to "humorously"? ( probably took as sarcasticly) point out that this is indeed an english speaking forum so everyone can join in that's all. A couple of years back it was brought up before and I believe Nick or one of the mods addressed it, it wasn't meant as offensive.

No worries I fall victim to the same Intraweb communication difficulty myself

If there were a vast number of foreign language posts then it might be an issue that would need addressing somehow, but with helpful folks like Pig around to pick up the odd one we get it's no harm no foul as far as I'm concerned.

(And I'll have been a member for a year in October so I don't remember the previous discussion )

i succesfully deciphered "hi", "speak", spanish", "where", and "password"! humorously enough, that can almost stand on its own to communicate the entire message, so my highschool spanish education, while dreadful, may be just barely passable

Well I did report the thread but was under the impression that there was no other languages allowed.

But after further investigation, and updating myself in the Rules & FAQ, now I see that it is just a guideline.

• Please stick to using the English language only.

Yup, seems like a rule to me Aloe (I must admit I didn't look), but if there's the odd thread where someone can answer and the poster is clearly not an english speaker, it can't hurt us to help out I think.

Unless they post in Welsh of course. That would just be silly

Though it would not be silly to a Welsh speaking Welsh person right?

Now that you pointed it out, ROFL! It surely was lost on me, since I only understand a little French. "parle francais" was all that stood out.
