Advice about non Holdem games I've been playing NL Holdem for a while, and was considering trying to learn some of the other games (ie. Omaha, Stud, Razz etc) Which game or games do you recommend I learn first? Should I start learning Limit or stick with NL? Thanks again and I sincerely appreciate all of the advice!

Probably depends on what interests you most and what strengths you have - omaha will certainly be the easiest step in mechanical terms, just remember that you have to use exactly two cards from your hand: no more, no less. On the limit or no limit question... the game pretty much decides it for you. Certainly if you're playing stud games, they'll pretty much always be played in a limit format. Omaha is usually played either pot limit or no limit, unless you're in a HORSE game. Of the stud games, I found Razz the easiest to pick up, but it's probably the most frustrating as well Good luck!

re: Advice about non Holdem games poker I echo the above posters comments. I play 90% NL holdem. I do like, for an occasional change of pace, to play a SnG of 5 card draw or PL Omaha. I'm ahead on the 5 card draw games so far, not a lot but you don't win much each time. Either of those games slow down the mind and when I go back to NL I feel refreshed.
