| Advice? Im a college kid, Ive lost my fair share of cash back in the day when I knew nothing about poker. Cannot really afford to deposit at all, frankly everyone in my life frowns upon the thought of it. So I have been relying on 5 bucks from a friend, or freerolls. I just would like some much needs advice as to what I should play if I get another five bucks on Full Tilt. I have many times taken $5 or $10 to $200-$300, but just donked it all away because I have the BR management of a 11 year old. Would love some people with experience to help me out here, appreciate it, tay |

| I have the same problem as you do. I don't deposit, and every time that I get money, I go on crazy runs, but then end up losing all or most of it. I will give you the same advice that other people give to me: When you lose a buy in to a ring game, take a break. If you don't take a break at this point, you will most likely keep buying in a few more times if you bust again. maybe you'll want to read Chris Ferguson's story about bankroll management: http://www.fulltiltpoker.com/chris-ferguson-challenge |

| Seems like you really answered your own question. Its seems we constantly hear the same story...a $5 freeroll win that gets built up to a couple hundred dollars and then busto. The main problem is forgetting how much hard work you put into building up your BR in the first place. When you have $200 and are grinding, a day where you end up down seems like a failure. So you end up trying to make that money back and just end up even for the day. Well a $20 loss turns to $50, then $100, etc. I have fallen victim to this myself and can see the reason why people tilt away entire BRs. You try to win back a days losses and it works. You say to yourself, "wow that was dumb, I won't do that again". But then next time you are stuck you find yourself playing out of your BR to win it back quick. Just remember that your poker BR is everything and it is the overall status of your BR that matters, not the daily swings. Life is one big poker session and you must treat it that way. Tomorrow is always there, so if you have a losing/bad day, don't worry about it and focus on tomorrow. |

| If I had 5 dollars and was trying to build a bankroll I would start with the freerolls and maybe 10 cent tournaments if they have them on full tilt. I play at pokerstars and I know they do. I would play that til I got to 40 or 50 bucks then try 2nl |

| I dont really know what advice anyone can give you. The problem is BRM You have already said the problem is BRM You have said are not able to follow BRM The only thing anyone can say is that the problem is BRM (you know this) and you must follow BRM (again you know this) So what is the point in asking the question in the first place? | I feel like I made it clear that I understand I have terrible bankroll management and that needs to be fixed, but beyond that, im always puzzled as to what games to play with such a small amount of money. Stu you are the only person who "stated the **cking obvious", everyone else provided answers that I looking for. Or do you like to make people feel like idiots? Find somthing a little more constructive to do with your time then hate, its annoying. |

If you do not adopt good BRM it dosen't matter which game or games you play because you will continue to loose every cent you make each and every time you get a bad run of cards. So whilst everyone else here might be skating around the "F**king Obvious" im just telling you the way it is. Your problem is not which game, its BRM |

| Okay. You are right, it is obvious that I need BMR to be successful no matter what, but you have to understand I would be alot more willing to take your advice if it was said with less belittling intentions. Because lets be honest, the was the only reason you made that post was to feel superiorty. |

1. BRM is key to long term poker success. 2. You already understand what BRM is. 3. You openly admit you are not able to follow it. Conclusion...you really need someone to give you a bit of a shake and not to keep sugar coating the truth. This is the single biggest flaw in your game. This is the reason you are trying to find some game you can play with virtually no cash, despite having won several hundred bucks. |
