| Threw the hand away post flop as I had nothing but Aces. I knew that top pair rarely wins a hand due to the additional hole cards. I read up on some strategy. Very basic. May not help. About 25 hands in raised to 2.5 x BB with K 2 2 4. Got 4 callers. Flop K 4 3. Bet 2/3 pot got 1 caller. Turn was a King. Other guy shoved and I doubled up. He had 2 nines in his hand. I like the game. Just never played it much. Good luck me. Last edited by brettstix : 12th November 2008 at 9:44 PM. Reason: left some info out |

| re: Accidentally registed for an Omaha SNG poker Loony at the table shoving with any hand containing an ace or pair. Chips going up and down like a roller coaster. He shoves and I have Ad Ah Qc 10d and I call. I have 3700 in chips to his 1700. He shows A 8 9 9 double suited. He doesn't hit. Didn't mention but this is a double or nothing tourney. Position 1 of 6 now with 5400. Will just fold my way to the cash I think. |

| Game over. I doubled up (sort of). I really like the game however I think I would want to play a lot more hands with play chips to get a better understanding of the strategy involved. Had fun. Made some dollars. Might go back to holdem. |

| re: Accidentally registed for an Omaha SNG poker Quote:
This is only application to H/L, which you were not playing... Conversely, an A2 is also a 'naked low' if unaccompanied by a 3, 4, 5 or even 6 - unless they are suited at least once to a high card. I don't know what the actual odds are, but my guess is that there IS no low in maybe 30 - 40% (?) of all hands, so the 'hi' considerations should always factor in more heavily. Congrats on your win! |
