91% pre -flop Favorite

I was in a 4 handed tourney on the button.

Me - 40,000
1st position - 38,000
Small Blind - 35,000
Big Blind - 30,000

I have pocket Aces and the player in 1st position moves in and I call and everyone else folds.

Me - A A
Opponent 7 8 not suited

I am around 91% to win pre-flop

FLOP - 7 8 7 - He flops a full boat and I go from a 91% favorite to a 7% under-dog.

TURN - 7 - He hits the quads and I am crippled to just under the BB. I went from the chip leader to having a chip and a chair.

You were actually more like 75% to win preflop (small variations depending on suit)

Yes.

BTW, like mentioned already, you were about 75%-80% favorit PF and actually had about a 9% to hit an ace on the turn or river. So, don't cut yourself short.

I think it's like 81% favorite since i forgot to mention none of our cards were suited.

he had 78 unsuited 7C and 8D I had AA HS.

I had many bad beats on tilt poker. but this one just peed me off so bad.

Dont get so upset about bad beats,think of it this way if bad players never got lucky they whould all stop playing only leaving the sharks

And also i know it really sucks to lose like this but poker is a long term game!
Just look at thouse numbers you should lose to 8d7c 1,9 out of 10 times so its bound t happen.

I see you guys talking about odds all the time problem for me is I don't have a head for math. Is there an easy way to figure odds

This time you lost, but everybody will lose such a hand now and then. In the end AA will still be alltime favourate
