9 seat SnG stats........

I just started playing the $5.50-9 seat SnG's on Stars. I know I've been doing really well in them but how would you rate these stats? Awsome or Good? Or is this really too small of a sample to judge anything at all?

30 SnG's
1st: 9
2nd: 2
3rd: 8
4th-9th: 11

ROI looks good... is that about 80-90%?? That would be incredible.

A little too small still, probably need a larger sample to actually get much from it; but still, great results so far, keep it up.

Yea I know it's small but how much of this is just a god run and how much of it is because I'm awsome? To me 30 Games does seem a little bit more than a hot streak. Is it a mix of both? Am I awesomely hot?

Well not to bring ya down, but the sample size is really too small to make the assumption that you'll always run this good. I'm ~%60 ROI for about 50 games at the $15 turbo level, and I am running good. You really can't expect to get more than %35 or %40 ROI over a big sample size. I'd be perfectly content with like %30 ROI at that level over whatever how many hundred games.

Anyways...umm don't expect that to hold up, but GJ anyways Killer run.

I think I searched you once or twice to see if you were playing any cash games at stars, and you were two tabling 5$ sngs.

A little small of a sample, but obviously more than just a lucky streak. Your ROI will probably drop down to something more realistic, but I might bump it up to 3 tabling to try and increase profit. If you drop off dramatically, go back to two. You want to take advantage of your awesomeness (word?) right now.

Anyway, very nice Jim and keep it up.

I hate poker.
I have a 40.41% ROI in 83 SNGs and I feel like I am running bad.
ROI should be 100+% I feel.
The zen of poker alludes me yet....

Why do you think so? %35 to %40 seems relatively small to me.
Of course, turbo tournaments are not ideal to judge this because the blinds go up so quickly that the luck factor is much bigger than in normal tournaments.

not to be captain negativity, but a sample size of 30 is too small to judge anything by a factor of about 30. after like 1k SNGs you're probably within 10% either way of your 'true' ROI, after 30, well 30 means nothing - i'm sure i've had sequences of 30 SNGs with over 100% ROI and similarly other sequences with less than a -50% ROI.

chuck is right about the long-term ROI 'caps', too.

1000...really? Thanks for all the input...never really done much with SnG's. Been mainly a MTT player with a little run in cash games.

yea in a similar manner that you cant judge your ring game by 500~ hands. you needs tens of thousands of hands. how many sngs will it take to provide you with that many hands?

What size tables? If you are doing this with the 45 tables awesome! 27 and 18 great. 9 seat really good. And 6 seaters, keep up the good work.
