| $843,xxx,xxx Bad Beat jackpot at Poker.com/Carbon I admit it, I'm a sucker. I am determined to try and hit this thing. I'd deposited $200 onto PDC a few weeks ago and Christmas eve I realized the BB Jackpot was so high. so I played a few tables..won about $150. And my ego brough my (original) $225 BR I $150 all the way down to $3.02. Crap. So, after a day of refusing to rebuy I gave in yesterday and rebought for the $300, hoping just like I do, when I buy those stupid scratch-offs. Well, I got my PDC BR back up to $619.00, now...and I'm playing without my ego, so I can hold on to those chippies I tought were gone forever. I'm still playing for the BBJ, but with much more discipline. (I hope) |

| BB Jackpot Not really sure what it takes to win a Bad Beat Jackpot, but I believe there are very special rules to this... First... You have to lose with a 4 of a kind, to a higher 4 of a kind. Also, you have to use BOTH of your cards in you hand, as well as your opponent. Which means, There has to be 2 pr on the board, you holding a pair in your hand (which hit the board) as well as your opponenet holding a pair in his/her hand (also hitting the board). Knew one person who actually won this in a casino, and everybody still in the hand after the hand was over won a piece of the jackpot. If this is what you shooting for... you may just want to consider scratching off a few more instant lottery tickets. Best of luck and keep us posted if you win. |

| Oops, 843 eight hundred forty three thousand quad 7s have to lose and yes I know you need both cards in your hand to qualify. 4 people have to see flop and the winner has to have both winning cards in their hand I've played for 12 hrs and lost $50. Damn. Quote:

| The place I play my live games at has a bad beat jackpot. The minimum there was Aces over Tens getting cracked, using both of each player's hole cards. Last Thursday I dealt one guy A/A and another Q/Q. There were two Q's on the flop to give one Quads. But the turn and river failed to deliver the necessary Ace for full house. The pot jackpot was $3,200+. I think the "loser" gets 50%, the winner gets 30%, and the rest of the table splits 20%, but I'm not sure on that. |

| re: $843,xxx,xxx Bad Beat jackpot at Poker.com/Carbon I remember 2 yrs ago, a friend of mine, went to the local casino in Hull Quebec, and was playing a wierd game called "Carribean Stud". I really don't comprehend the rules of the game, but I know he hit the Royal Flush, and won like 230k, and 20 minutes later, went to another table, and played another game called, 3 card poke(It had a name, just don't know it). Anyways he hit the SF, and won another 50k. Personally BBJ, are just a waste of time, I believe if it's meant to be, it's meant to be, gl Last edited by naruto_miu : 29th December 2008 at 6:00 PM. | Can someone check my math? odds of 4 of a kind 8 or higher (must be 8 or higher to qualify): 1:10,000 odds of a higher 2nd 4 of a kind: 1:100,000,000 odds of a straight flush:1:72,000 odds of a straight flush beating 4 of a kind 8 or higher: 1: 720,000,000? odds of winning powerball: 1:120,000,000 Actually I think it's worse because of the additional restrictions (both hole cards must be used). |

| Bad Beat Jackpots are definitely a long shot but lets not forget about the pots we win will playing for them. The rake is a bit higher at these tables but nothing too crazy. And the players at the tables are still willing to stack off to you just like any other table. So while I play I guess I'll win some pot, pay a little higher rake and dream of hitting the BBJ. And if I don't I'm not out anything and hopefully I'm up a couple bucks. |
