| The 80/20 rule in Poker It soon becomes apparent that poker's an emotional game - 20% game, 80% emotion. Listening to bad beat stories, all too often there's an emotional factor. So what makes you tilt? How do you manage it? Here's a few to get us started:
[*]sex chat between players(!)[*]being a nit[*]tilting yourself with weak ass plays[*]being busted off 1st nuts by bluffs/2nd or 3rd nuts[*]being stepped on/reraised insanely every time you raise in
This poster is learning to walk away when: - Feeling baaaaad - Feeling the temptation to go all-in to reassert my fragile sense of self-respect - Losing 2 stacks - Or walking away form table after losing 40% stack at table (bad image often leads to tilt for me...) (PS - some good podcasts on 'Cash Plays', on iTunes on managing this topic). |
