7 card stud

Any 7 card stud players out there? I've been playing 7 card as of late....need to take a break from Hold 'em. It was getting a little stale.

We have a few really good stud players here. If you want some help with your game post any hands that you might struggle with in Hand Analysis and I will make sure that they see them.

Or if you have general questions post them in strategy.

I did most of the take2 last month playing stud8. I only play low limit. Highest I have played online is $0.25 -$0.50. I have played a bit of $5-$10 live, but that game was way softer than online. Still learning.

Sutd and Stud8 are my main games for ring; as Debi suggests you should post some specific questions in the strategy/analysis forums...

I played a lot of stud hi at the micro level for the Take 2 promo. I basically played ABC poker by pushing my made hands, bluffing scary boards and keeping track of all the upcards. It was a good way to get my points and not go broke in the process.

Yeah, you could fill a thread with 100 posts of tranny porn, but if the title was "Analyze this 7 card stud hand" I'd probably still look through the thread... does that mean I like 7 card stud or tranny porn....

orly? jk, I haven't seen him at the tables recently...

I'm happy to help with any stud based questions. I play stud hi-low, razz, and stud high regularly, but mostly hi-low most recently.

btw, c9... I will get to that HH soon! Probably this weekend.

Oh... and I meant to actually say something re. the OP. I've started playing a little stud lately, but like all limit games I find it more challenging in terms of making a quality hand survive the hopeful callers, at least before the blinds get large (in a tourney). I think I need to do some research on strategy - I did a search here on CC but didn't find any stud-specific strategy guides. Does anyone know of good resources (prefereably free/online -- I'm a cheap bastard)?

Been playing Stud games at the cash tables some.. I'm better at Stud in cash games than Hold 'Em.

I feel the same way. I get tired of Hold'em and enjoy all the games in HORSE including playing them individually.

Hey,

I have also been getting into STUD hi, it's such a good break from Hold'em... and after playing stud, and coming back to hold'em I can see the game in a whole new light...

You have to be patient in STUD, and know when you can play... I prefer playing with less players at the tables... specially heads-up would be the best... don't like playing the full tables... the game would take a lot longer...

look for me at the Micro Stakes... if you want to play with me some time ;-)
