Hello all just got through fun freeroll on pokerstars facing a field of 4986, Omaha H/L, never really play 8 or better but i understand it pretty well. Unfortunately it was only a Copernicus freeroll so it only got me to the Weekly Round II on pokerstars but after winning a field of 338, 2 weeks ago, and a 277 player field last week this is by far my Largest field to take down..The most fun thing about this trny was that I was playing a game I usually never look to play, and found i had a lot of fun experimenting. Also, having studied some stratagies previously allows you to take bad beats and feel the game out a bit more comfortably. As a long time Hold' em player, I would suggest playing something different every now and again just to see if it fits you well. I am probably always going to enjoy NL holdem more than any other game, but stepping outside your comfort zome can lead to a fun, and maybe profitable game. I only wish this had been a 10 or even 5 dollar game... GL at the tables all

Congrats on the win!
Omaha H/L will keep you on your toes; there's always so many variables, and every turn can radically effect yer hand values..I play a little for low stakes, but I don't profess to understand it. I really like it that 5 draw is now offered online. It's the first poker game I ever learned, I bet that's true for lots of us. |
