3D Poker Feel

Since the previous thread was closed...

Does anyone think that 3D online poker sites are the future? or just gimmicky? Now that stacks poker is gone... do sites like pkr.com have a future in an already saturated market or is this truly the "next-generation" of online poker?

With pkr.com i see it more like a console game (similar to the upcoming "Stacked: with Daniel Negreanu"). In fact they look almost the same. Here's a link to the Stacked game for PS2/Xbox/PC. If you look at the screenshots of that and PKR.com, they look similar.

I think pkr.com looks nice but too complicated if you ask me.

Pacific PokerPacific Poker is the poker room for 888.com casino and is still a favourite, especially amongst new players. They recently updated their software with a sleek and smooth new look which is much better to play.

Full Tilt PokerFull Tilt Poker is the poker site the pro's play at. US players are welcome - use Full Tilt Poker referral code CARDSCHAT for a $600 bonus.

I just tried the demo version of pjpoker and after playing 3 hands I unistalled it. First off, I had a full boat, three 10's and two K's. The other player had three K's and I lost. How does three K's beat a full boat? The board had this:
5,A,K,10,K I had pocket 10's, the other player had 8,K. I know it was only a demo but if that's the way pj is, then don't expect me to play for real money there. btw, there was no flush possible.

Second, the graphics aren't that good, big deal the room spins then and the player moves its hand...whooopee.

Last, the guy sitting next to me was rubbing my inner thigh, totally distracting me from my putting my hand on the lady dealers inner thigh. I really don't see pj going anywhere.

PKR

I have been keeping my eye on PKR for a LONG time now...hopefully it's as good as the trailers looks. It's a shame about the stacks..I was looking forward to that. I always play pacificpoker. It's nice and easy to use.

re

PKR beta will be coming very shortly, within a week or two. They're set for a June release. A friend from PKR has told me this, so hopefully they'll reach this deadline.

During Beta users have to download the full client and we appreciate that the download time isn't ideal (should be around 15mins with broadband) Once launched properly users will have a much smaller initial download to get them playing. This will be under a quarter of the current file size and the rest will be downloaded in the background while you play.

We've not had many complaints about computers crashing but if you get your friend to contact customer support they should be able to resolve any problems.
The feedback we've had so far from people playing has been great so I'm very surprised by your negative post.

Cheers

Andy (PKR)

re

I just downloaded PKR. It took over an hour for me on high speed internet. It also crashed the first few times. I rebooted and it ran perfect. Everything looks really good, just what I expected. There's still bugs they're working out, but I like it. The game is slowed down, but I never felt bored as something is always happening at the table.

I have screenshots of PKR beta if you guys want to see them.

LOL! Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiight.

Feedback from internal staff does not count.

Looks like PKR is gonna get some serious PKR (Pretty Krappy Rakes)?
LOL!
