Maybe he was scared that you had AK? It was fairly passive, but it's not like he had the top kicker.

True, I could've had AK, but there are so many Ax hands I could be betting with that he beats. Especially since I had just completed the SB, AK is pretty unlikely. The river K does put a possible straight on the board and if they did think i had AK, that probably stopped him from raising. But they played the hand so passively PF, on the flop, and on the turn. Limped in PF with QA and flopped a very strong hand with a player betting (me) and one calling before him, perfect opportunity to raise and possibly stack a weaker Ax hand.

I don't have the hand history but a couple of days ago I got called down by a 9 high. He had no draws or anything the whole way through the hand.
