24 Hour Clock

How many of you along with me hate this thing. It says the tournament starts at 21:05... So what time is that on the regular clock. I miss like 35% of my tournaments due to subtracting the time wrong. Why dont poker rooms make it the standard 12 hour clock?

Pacific PokerPacific Poker is the poker room for 888.com casino and is still a favourite, especially amongst new players. They recently updated their software with a sleek and smooth new look which is much better to play.

Full Tilt PokerFull Tilt Poker is the poker site the pro's play at. US players are welcome - use Full Tilt Poker referral code CARDSCHAT for a $600 bonus.

Maybe cause in a big chunk of the world, the 24-hour clock is standard?

Well it's probably not that, just making a point... Anyway, I think it's more precise, without needing 2 extra digits.

in the eastern U S its easy,if a tourney starts at 21:05 i do this,, 12 and what is 21, the answer is 9, so the tourney starts at 9:05 pm,, from midnight till noon its the same, etc. 1,,2 ,, 0r 3 oclock then at noon you just add, if the tourneys at 13:00, its 12 and what makes 13, the answer is 1 pm, so it starts at 1 oclock>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> buck

0:00=12:00am (midnight)
1:00= 1:00am
2:00= 2:00am
3:00= 3:00am
4:00= 4:00am
5:00= 5:00am
6:00= 6:00am
7:00= 7:00am
8:00= 8:00am
9:00= 9:00am
10:00=10:00am
11:00=11:00am
12:00=12:00pm (noon)
13:00= 1:00pm
14:00= 2:00pm
15:00= 3:00pm
16:00= 4:00pm
17:00= 5:00pm
18:00= 6:00pm
19:00= 7:00pm
20:00= 8:00pm
21:00= 9:00p
22:00=10:00pm
23:00=11:00pm
and back to 0:00

The next step is to check to see what time zone the site is running in, and figure out how far ahead/behind you are from that. For example, I live in the Pacific Time Zone, so if a tournament starts at 15:00 Eastern (3pm Eastern), it would start at 12:00 noon for me since I'm behind the Eastern Time Zone by 3 hours.

If you cant take 12 away from a figure, how can you hope to be a success at poker?

Simply subtract 12. It's not THAT difficult. If it is, then I can only imagine how bad your calculations of poker odds are.
