| pretty much a waste of time if they were just going to air the show the day after it was over instead of live...the winner's name was on all the major news networks' websites on the front page this morning. waited 3-4 months just to have it spoiled the morning of the show rather than 3-4 months before it airs? that's pretty shitty. |

| re: 2009 wsop main event champ poker Pretty amazing run of luck, especially when he was down to just under a couple of blinds. Especially when you have Moon shoving into his aces. I think begs said last night on the audiocast he could have actually knocked him out on the hand that buchman put him all in but he decided to fold his ace rag. |

| The coverage of heads up was terrible, as usual. I recall Moon being at 80mil, then all of a sudden his has $140mil?? How did that happen. Fortunately, I listened live this morning and know how it happened. They need actual poker players doing the commentary. These two are terrible. |

| They shouldnt do the Nov 9 If they cant put together a better broadcast. Lan and Norman are horrible. Not funny and have no knowledge of the game. Moon played horrible and Joey got lucky, but that happens in the game. Even though he was playing pretty agro with small pairs. I think overall he'll be great for the game and reminds me of...dare I say...Durrr? I'm sure we'll see him on High Stakes Poker and all the other shows. If Moon wouldve won he wouldve been like Yang and never be heard from except for the ME. |

| My stupid DVR stopped recording right when it went heads up. Is ESPN trying to drag this out for another show?!? It sure didn't seem possible that the game could have finished in the stupid 3 minutes that my DVR missed. Someone? thanks |

| STFU NORM!!!!!!!!! That was BS for sure, I mean I get the quick editing but all they showed was every all in, ud think it was a Super turbo on FT not the World Championship. And one more for the announcers, Norman Chad is the worst thing to happen to poker since marked cards. I hope he gets a rare fungus in his genitals that can only be cured by hot lava. I don't know who the other guy is, he's milk toast and I don't care. Mike Sexton with Ali Nejad for comic relief would be my pick, maybe a cameo once in awhile by Daniel. |

| re: 2009 wsop main event champ poker The coverage sucked because Ivey was in it. I love Ivey as much as anyone and I was hoping he wins, but when a player finishes 7th you don't extend him into the 2nd hour of your broadcast. I can't quite recall but I believe it was in the 1 1/2 hour mark of the broadcast when they finally showed Ivey being eliminated. We all know why they did it, Ivey was the draw, but after that it was just bang bang elimination coverage. I'm glad this year I listened to it on Bluff radio because I have a better sence of what happened. |

I pretty much thought this FT was pretty crap and watchin the FT episodes on pokertube were crap aswell. Phil Ivey played it too tight IMO. He had JJ and raised. The french man (Saout) was re-raising alot (on the live broadcast) and re-raised on button w/ 77 and Ivey folds?!?! WTF. Phil Ivey over plays KK aswell? If he decides to call Shulmans raise (bcos Shulman has been playin soild, could have Ax) im guessin Cada mite of came over the top with his 1010. Heck he does it with 22/33 so he would 75% of the time came over the top with his 1010. ESPN/some of the players turned the final table into a 4bet donkfest. I know blinds and pressure gets very high at this stage of a majour MTT, but whats wrong with a bit of flop action? Saout could of outplayed Cada during 3handed when he had 88. But guess he was hurt with by QQ and decided to shove... Is this what they realy wanna advertise poker to be to the new people? U'll get ppl online 4bettin/shoving with 22/33 bcos if Joe Cada can do it, i can do it! And for Norman Chad...he is sooo annoying. I wish he could take Phil Ivey's cock outta his mouth when Phil comes on TV. Ok it's mayb a lil bit funny the 1st episode but all the way thru? It's like Norman Chad has Phil Ivey tattooed on his bell end. Overall it was a o..k main event. Darvin moon is a amature but he's not thick. He did win a casino sat to get into the WSOP ME and he must of know he was beat to fold his KQo against begs AQs. Played a bit stupid at times during the FT + HU but i guess u've gotta play with what ur given and get lucky at times. As for Cada I think this is a one off thing.... Im guessin he's a decent player since he got staked into this ME by friends (haha he looses some of his $8.5mill) and looking at some online stats he's cashed a few times. But his play was meh....he picked his spots and got lucky. What can u do? aL |

1) 1 hour of the show was dedicated to hugging Phil Ivey's nuts and milking his status for all it was worth. He got almost 1 full hour of coverage of ALL the significant hands that he played. The remaining players got the remaining 1.5 hours. 2) They can start editing the minute that play begins. They know a significant hand, and they know how to build a story leading up to hands (use my Phil Ivey post for example). They missed the boat here, in a major way. 3) The show was scheduled for 2 hours, but ended up running 2.5 hours. So of about 16 hours (guessing) of play, they had to cut the filler and insignificant hands, and get to the meat of the play. I don't care about player bio's, I can find that on the internet. Let me see that hands being played, and cut the BS. Not to mention, they edited 30 minutes longer than scheduled programming anyway. Good thing I was home to watch it, or I my DVR would have cut out as Cada began his insane comeback. So, what do I expect? I expect less Phil Ivey (sorry Phil, I love you as a player, but you weren't a major figure at this table) and more poker coverage. Why only show like 5 hands of heads up play when it was a back and forth marathon between the final 2? I expect better coverage from the greatest tournament in the world. Hell, the Heartland Poker Tour on my local network gives me better coverage. Footnote. Congrats to Cada. You won the event with a lot of luck while playing poor poker. Too many chances with marginal and poor hands, and too loose with your preflop play. I hope you tighten up your game in the coming year, or you will be sitting next to Jamie Gold on the "Where Are They Now" segment during the poor 2011 WSOP coverage. |

| I managed to avoid any pre-news of the game knowing I was gonna watch it last night. In a game I was in yesterday some dude was gonna tell me who won, and I turned off everyone's chat at that point. I did get from him that he was there, or watched it live somehow, and that it was 14 hours to get to HU, then another 3 hours once HU. There was mention by Norm Chow (who got a lot better this year than in previous years) of Darvon playing ABC poker. From what I saw, everyone at the final table was playing ABC poker, and that would explain why it might have actually taking 17 hours to finish. I saw no fancy play whatsoever. |

| If Cada was smart, he would take the money and run. Yang and Varkoni were smart enough to know they got lucky and would have their rear ends handed to them if they tried to play high stakes cash games. Darvin is probably long gone. We won't see him until next year. He definately won't be playing any cash games. |

These guys were normal Joes entering the tournament, and i'm sure to an extent they would like to stay that way. Until I see them repeat success in future tournaments, I would rather they not become ambassadors of poker, because that would be the slap in the face that everyone is referring to. And on a site that advocates strict BRM, I would like to think that people would agree that these guys should stay away from games that could cost them their entire winnings in 1 or 2 sessions. GL to them both, I wish them success, but i'm not counting on it. But if I had to put money on it, Darvin will have more future success than Cada. |

| I managed to keep blinders on for an extra day and just watched it tonight. Until of course my DVR had stopped. ESPN had what 3 months to plan this and couldnt' get it down to 2 hours? Couldn't reserve 3 hours? WTF. I was unimpressed with the quality of content that they did decide to show as well. I'm glad for the Michigan boy to win it. (Even if he did win it with poor play and luck, as I learned here.) I hear his dad was a laid-off design engineer, and now I suppose a retired design engineer. I'm in the biz, and there are a lot of good families struggling around here. As for being a poor role model to the next crop of players, I'm fine with that. The more guppies in the tank the better. |

I think Cada will float about in the big games like High Stakes Poker or Premier Poker League. Eastgate did it so i think Cada will jump on that band wagon too. I hope he looses most of his million by making plays like shoving with his 44 against Tom Dwans crazy range of like 69s lol. |

| Oh I wish I would've known Bluff radio was playing it live. I think we miss so much on ESPN. They seem to make Moon look like a donk, but you never know what happened prior to get to certain moments. I know it's hard for ESPN to only have 15 hours to edit all footage, but I was expecting better. Did Bluff radio tell you what the players had? Did they have access to the pocket cam? |

| ....i personally wasnt impressed with the FT...i have never useen so many all in's pre flop before...in previous ft's, there are a few great hands, whether calls or folds, but in this it was just all in all in....best play was probably CADA calling heads up with the 9 but i really laughed with moon/..first he tries to bluff by raising to 15 million..then he folds to another 6 million with 44 million pot..but best bit ever was him to his wife straight after the hand "I had queens honey, but i put him on a draw and didnt want to call"... imagine lying to your wife about what hand u had, then it been seen by a billion people... i was also disappointed with how moon overplayed so many hands, and made bad calls...and was sad to see ivey not make more of it...and shculman was never even close to getting there...cada not the worst in the world to win, seems decent, think he will be there in the futre..thats my rant over |
