What bank roll do you need for .50/1, when do you move up. how many big blinds do you need to have for each level.

In no limit when choosing a game you look for 30 plus pre flop. Is this the same for Limit

Common advice is to have at least a bankroll of 300 big bets, so for $.50/$1, you would want to have at least $300. As for moving up, you want to make sure you have the min bankroll for the new level using the 300 BB rule. Also, you want to make sure you are winning consistently over a large sample of hands. What a "large sample" consists of could be debated. I would say a min of 15,000 hands and I really think this could be argued to be on the low side. However, you can always take a shot at the higher level and move back down if need be.

Not sure what you're talking about 30+.

300 for full ring, I'd probably go 400-500 BB for 6 max.

i believe 300 BB is not enough, i would go for at least 500 and 40k hands, just to make sure something crazy wont happen.

I should state my original advice was bare minimum. This is probably much better, especially if starting out. It's all a function of how much risk you're willing to take.
