2 dollar bankroll Any suggestions on what to play on FT with only 2 bucks in my account. I won a freeroll, hope to win more, but I thought about playing with the cash and know that I cannot sit down at a cash table with this so it has to be tourny. Simply looking for suggestions with such a low budget.

FT just started the micro ring tables, but $2 would not be a good place and def not good BR management. There are also SnG's, but their rake is pretty high. |

It can be done from scratch, but takes time, and patience. What I did was start by letting it accumulate. An occasional dimer or 25c MTT on Stars, but especially the private forum games. MUCH, better payouts. If you just simply cannot wait to get to those big MTT's or the ring games - then deposit. If taking it slow and easy, picking your spots wisely, pooling your cashes, then you can build from nothing. |

It would be easier to build a two dollar bankroll on pokerstars I built it up to $100 before losing it all, but it can be done. I would personally recommend the "Ferguson" tourney on FT. It is a 10 cent rebuy tourney once a day and adds up to a huge pot. It plays like a freeroll, but there is a lot of money to be made for such a small buy in.

Well first of all let me say it's not easy. lol With that being said; here is what I did. I won .80 cents on a free roll at sportsbook. After that a few days later I got into one of .15 buy-in .10 add on tourney. Nevada Nick metions these at Full Tilt but the add ons are a little more there. If you place in the winnings on you first try you are on to a great start. I placed 7th and won $7.11. Next I went to the micro tables and built my stack up to $26.00. This did take some time (i.e. a good week and lots of hours). Last night I took the plunge and got into a $6 bounty tourney and place 3rd. Which paid $36-sum. So it is possible to build your bank roll from free rolls. Don't let others discourage you. I'm attaching both winnings so you can see the tournaments that I was in. For a better understanding and what to look for. The first attachment is the one I got into from my .80cents free roll winnings. Good luck to you good times... PEACE P.S. lmao now up over $50 and trying to decide where to go from here, more than likely, more of the same for now.

i say play the 10 cent tourneys if ya don't wanna make a deposit. otherwise keep playing the freerolls til ya get it built up bigger. i've got 1$ on that site after losing 50$ in a ring game on pocket rockets all-in preflop. i said i'd never make another deposit on full tilt and i'm sticking to it, b/c in my opinion they are a donkey site. not only that their software is primitive

I say play the freerolls like I did..It takes some time but you will get some money in your account. Or if you want there is a $100+.25 games in sit and go with only 9 players....I have made money there...Give it a shot you have nothing to lost but $1.25..Good luck to you.

re: 2 dollar bankroll poker Well you made your money by outmaneuvering a field of 2700 how hard could it be to duplicate that in a field of 3000 given 20 at bats? Try the 10 cent tourneys without rebuying. It'll cap your loss to 10 cents each day which is good bankroll management and offer upside. ITM is usually $1.70 (152nd or better), 30th around $4.5, and a win $300. Hit this twice out of twenty and you've progressed.

I made my $2 bankrol into $40 these past 2 months. I started off sitting in with all my bankroll on the .05/.10 tables, and after getting to about $5 I started playing the $2 headsup in holdem. After reaching about $25, I started playing on two .05/.10 tables with $4 each. That's my success story. Manybe it will work for you.

I say do what you want to with it. What ever you feel comfortable doing. We can tell you what to play but if you don't feel comfortable playing that than it will make no sense because you will lose. You can take advice from others but you in the end have to play the way you want and what you want or else this will be no fun for you and poker is supposed to be fun.Good luck

re: 2 dollar bankroll poker 2 dollar is not bad to pratice cash game with. 1 cent / 2 cent playing tourney and cash games are really different so unless you dont want to learn than dont try but with 2 dollars your using is real money so you will see the difference for urself. but i would just save it up and just continue playing the freeroll if i were you gl watever you do tho.

Try the micro stakes table, with the minimum buy in. Play tight aggressive. If you win, go to another table with the minimum buy in and that way you still have some back up money in case of bad beats... Be careful and build it up slowly, and don't get into too many coin flips.

I agree with Nick. The .10c buy in tourney is the best value for money. I played it last night - didnt place - but I'm sure the $1000 guarantee tripled after the add ons! There were 3600 players & it payed 153 places. Just before the 3rd level there were already 1000 players out so shouldnt be too difficult getting into the money soooooon.

I wouldn't advise depositing..it is totally possible to build a bankroll from scratch using freerolls...i know because I did it. I started playing the FTP freerolls, and after realizing how horrible they are (come on...2700 players and only 27 payouts and it takes 5 hours) I switched over to playing as many private freerolls as I could. Sites like cardschat and others offer them all the time..the fields are smaller and your chances of cashing are much better. Once you have a few dollars...play some 1-2 dollar 9-handed SNG's while continuing to play freerolls. This is for a few reasons: (1) Pad your BR with freeroll money, (2) Gain more MTT experience, (3) Gain more final table experience with the SNGs. I won't kid you...it "can" take quite awhile but you will certainly become a better player in the process. I've been playing 6 months or so...have a triple digit bankroll...I play everyday, and i've never gone broke. GL

I'd try a matrix 6 player SNG, it's hard to lose all of your money, and with any luck you'll turn enough of a profit to use on something more substantial. I've turned a pretty nice profit on these SNG's in my experience, lots of loose, amateurish players.

Ok, here's what you do. Lets assume (because you will) continue to play in public and private freerolls. The best play on your $2 is to play the .60 double sats. Usually, there are about 180 players and because its a rebuy tourney, that 14 will win something with the top 11 winning the $22 buyin. Win that can cash out of the double deuce. Use that money to play more .60 DD sats. with your $2, you can play that 3 times and the .10 tourney twice. Chap

My bankroll is a BIG BAGEL...LOL. I don't even have a penny in there. I have hit a bad luck streak and can't shake it. If I were you, I would play in the micro ring tables. It is possible to get somewhere so long as you don't go all in with high pair thinking you have the best hand. The people at the micro ring tables tend to play silly and will bet on a crappy hand. At least I am talking about the Full Tilt site
