10nl to 25nl challenge

Ok right now I have a 295 dollar bankroll and want to build it up to 500 before I move up to 25 nl. I am just now getting back into the cash games so I will probably be a little rusty. Anyways if anyone wants to race me to the 500 dollar roll, then it will make it more fun (I think).

i would, but I have an adjantage, i had 320 2 monthes ago when i started focusing on 10nl, but now i'm up to 450. I don't play much though, only about 5000 cash hands during this period.

I'm also trying to get 500 before moving up.

well, I moved up to 25nl shortly after posting. I was up around 250 from around 6000 hands, so an exteremly high ~40 big blinds/100 (20bigbets/100).

so far I've played around 2500 hands at 25nl and have only made 50 some bucks, only ~8 big blinds/100

I'm at around $310 but won't be moving up once I get to $500, in another topic I posted some more experienced grinders recommended getting to around $650-$750 just to be safe. From what I hear 25NL is the first "real" jump in skill where there are more regulars than donks which makes it easy to lose a couple buyins right off the bat and being forced back down a limit, but good luck in the grind!

Talk about some variance, lost a $15 cap, went back to $3cap and ground it all back and then some, ended the day at $150.22.

+40.4% of bankroll

$500 here I come!

I had my roll up to around 400 and then a couple days ago i broke my right hand while playing basketball and I can't 10-table left handed so I am going to switch to sngs for the next 4-6 weeks. GL!

Well! I was a busy bee last night xmas shoppin an all, But this evening is where it begins

Are you steppin up to 25nl when you hit $500 though? I thought maybe $600 + for the extra buy ins, Maybe it's a psychological thing but I do like having wee little buffer to get to know the new limit

Lets get a 25nl to 50nl thread started once we hit ya?

Anyone ever take 2 or 3 days off and just feel like they completely lost their poker game? My internet was down and now it just feels like I'm playing completely shitty. BR is down about $20 over a couple thousand hands but still over $300 so I'll be hittin that $500 soon enough I hope.

meh, haven't played much over the festive period, plus i've been estblishing myself with 10nl, had a SICK 4BI downswing when i first got going an for 5k hands I was all over the shop, but now i'm showing a juiceeee rise, I hit $300 last night, How many hands a day you guys getting in?

Count me in too. I started at $200 at Full Tilt a week and a half ago, currently at $243.95. I hope everyone keeps posting their results, good or bad! It does help to have some idea of how others have fared.

Well still $300ish at Stars

but now a + $300 at Full Tilt after a tourney win.... so I am sort of rolled if you combine the two...

Time to start the 09 grind imo

Wow, ok so I went on tilt all the way down to $180 or so. Back up to $228 and seem to have some rythm going. I'm doing well playing 4 tables at once for about 2 hours at a time. Any fewer tables I start turning on the tv or doing something else in the background, any longer and I lose my concentration. Time will tell I suppose!

Kidding, that's great you're rolled for 25nl now. Let us know how the limit treats you. Shouldn't be too much different from 10nl.
