10/13 UIGEA Anniversary Good Time to Protest!!!

Saturday October 13th marks the Anniversary of the passage of the UIGEA.

I am a new poster here, but active in other forums. Either here or on the other forums I would appreciate suggestions as well as any volunteers.

There have been some positive recent changes in the PPA, IMO. I would suggest those with past problems with the PPA give it a look. PPA's homepage: Poker Players Alliance: Fight for Poker

Yes, in addition to the blurry pin pic, I was hoping for a pic of the t-shirt in which it is blocked or covered. But a blurry pic of the t-shirt would have sufficed.

So I joined up as a Full Member for $20. But it didn't say anything about a pin, just the t-shirt.

Pokerstars is offering $5000 freerolls 3 times daily to support the PPA. You can only play once. It is a membership drive. You agree to an introductory membership by registering - they forward your account information to PPA. I think I will join that way to help the drive.

You can find the tournies in the special section. I registered for the one at 7:50 est time tonight. They also have them at 9:20pm and 10:50pm.

i joined a long time ago,maybe 10 months ago, it was free and i got the pin,ya the pin is nice, got it on my jacket,, buck

I've posted this (spammed it) to the top 20 poker sites. Where possible I've added a poll.

I've gotten some great ideas as well as offers of help both time and money. I'm not going to try to get into the fundraising business.

But if anyone is interested please leave a message, or better yet log on to the PPA member forum in the section for your state and leave a message.

I have contacted John Pappas the new Executive Director of the PPA, and I am meeting with him this up comming week. I will keep everyone informed.

We've got almost enough time to get this going.
