| They've covered a lot so I don't have 5, but one I would like to add is that you should raise more preflop. There are soooooo many players that just limp in all the time. Those are the players I make 80% of my money off of. Oh one more...position. Position is very very important. The amount of money I win from the button is waaaaay higher than what I win from any other position. Its not even close. |

| 1) Position is just as important as cards. Sometimes more important. 2) Don't limp 3) I know sometimes it pays off, but do not lose your stack on TPTK 4) Tighten up your starting hands. No, even tighter. Tiiiighhhhtteerrrr! 5) Never, even check if you think you are ahead. Value bet your brains out |

| re: Your own top 5 tips for beating micros? poker 1- BRM. Position. 2- If you're the first in the pot-raise. 3- Just because the button raises, it doesn't mean he's ALWAYS stealing your blind. 4- Fold a weak ace, unless you're making a semibluff in late position, but accept the fact that you might have to lay it down. 5- Fold small pairs and hand like KJ KQ J10 when someone is showing strength. |

If you can beat micros, you probably play marginal situations better than most other micro players. Add to the fact that people are playing whack cards... Then shouldn't you be playing a little more loose pre? At the micro level, more people are willing to stack off light, so why not marginally loosen your starting range? |

You don't beat rags with rags. You beat rags with good cards. And if you are assuming they are stacking off light, and thus calling more stack-sized bets, what are you doing if not stacking off light? With no fold equity (and there is no fold equity in the micros), loose play is worthless. It's a leak. |

| That is a losing situation because you are blowing away chips when you don't have to. Playing those speculative hands when you don't have to is costing you each hand you play. They are stacking off light, yes, but I'm willing to bet that you are going to be calling those shoves more often thinking that and when they are holding 3-9o to your K9o and the board comes 359 and you call all-in because you have top pair against their terrible range and then lose and get pissed. And it happens all of the time and I watch people get so pissed. Whereas if you would just wait for an actual good hand to get it in good in the same situations, because those bad players will do the same thing when you have a good hand believe it or not, then you will take the pot down. |

| Do not apply tactics you see on videos or that are "usual" cause I saw that even if u play your hand correctly , you can still get some users newbye that act as not expected. * I speak for micro stakes cause ppl havent experience and think every hand can be good or that everyone bluff * ---> I saw a friend coming out with 2-3 not suited heavily, and winning vs aces or Kings thanks to nice flops and a big ass. Like you got KK and as around they say , bet 3 or 4 times more on preflop. You do that and someone follows you, then it comes out he just had some low cards but thanks to the flop maybe he beats you, and then you dont understand cause every videos tells you your KK + bet x4 will scare any 2- 5 not suited. |

| 1) ABC poker (Let bad players feed you money) / thread if i had to include 2-5 they'd be 2) value bet a little thinner -- people will call down bad 3) Do not make big laydowns unless you have a reason to 4) In tune with 3 do not make Hero calls unless you have a reason for doing so 5) Avoid FPS, you will level yourself against morons |

+++ 4 (ok the others too) good advice in this thread, I have nothing to say, cause I believe it has all been covered. But, speaking from experience, micro stakes is another definition for "Tight starting range". They say it takes one to know one, so I can see a loose fish who will open with ATC from a mile away..............uhhhhhhhhhhhhh did I really just say that?????? oh yea, Trew, do you think bluffing is a bad idea? lol. Good point though. |

| You can bluff in position with a cbet and also second barrel if you have 1 opponent and he checks again on the turn... I don't find any other good spots in micros for bluffing. It's hard to make someone lay down a hand, but they can always fold if they switch to check/fold mode and you notice it. |

| I think the idea that micro players are idiots who'll call anything is a bad stereotype. Are there more idiots at micros? For sure. But in my experience there are regulars who know what they are doing too. Only playing premium hands is a better idea if you are playing on full tables. At 6 handed tables, you should loosen up a little. If you are too tight, then when you do get the super hands you won't get action if other players are semi-competent. How you play should depend on your tablemates. |

| Oh another thing is you really need to look into which sites have soft players, bodog seems to be VERY VERY soft where FTP seems to have a lot better players. |

| lost 3 way pot today with AA vs A4 vs Q10, i raised, flop came 4Q3 rainbow, i bet the flop, guy with A4 moves all in for 1.5$ more, q10 guy calls, i push all in, guy with q10 calls, total pot about 10$, he skipes a q on the river, i tilt, i exit game. so my advice is, dont tilt (better yet dont play on tilt)when you get bad beat, will happen a lot! |

| Don't forget to be aware of stack sizes. i.e. don't try to set mine if the guy doesn't have enough sitting behind to give you the right implied odds. |

Moreover, getting called by absolute rags just to see them hit runner-runner and seeing bad play rewarded over and over again is another reason why getting loose callers and donks suck! You get tilted 2 much and thus won't play your best poker game, and since you're playing very tight and losing those few hands, you can't even recover what you lost through intelligent bluffing because you'll lose more...So you just wait for good cards to try and win or lose to another bad beat, taking it all down to luck! Where's the skill in that?! |
