If I'm in that spot, I may have gone 5x-6x since Moon flatted.
However, it's important to note that the ME played out unlike any tourney in history. Especially amongst deep stacked tournies. The Kopp/Moon 40 million chip pot when they both had flushes that weren't the nuts on a paired board, speaks volumes to how this played out. Conventional play was not really the norm. The 10 man final table had lasted about 45 minutes and not quite one orbit. Perhaps Smith had played hands with Moon previously on other tables that led him to do what he did. Or maybe he just blew up. Also, Moon may have still called OOP for 5x-6x since he was super chip leader. |
