Why ppl play dumb??

i was playing some freeroll and in some funny hand.. in which i didn't had anything... i decided to make a small bluff.. i bet on turn.. other guy calls.. i bet some large ammount on river .. he ALSO CALLs....
he had A/3 off .. he had high card ace ... lol and he called by bluff.. i didn't have anything so i lose...

and i wonder.. why ppl play unserious?

i mean if i see big raise and i have noting.. i fold .. but no he calls me with noting so lol

i just got pissed... and wanted to know.. maybe there are some who does like that...
so why da hell do you do like that?? lack of skill or just call anything..

i am playing playmoney a lot.. but i play it like it was real money.. i try to win and learn.. get some skill.... get better..

i don't know maybe its just me.. but i think its more fun winning that playing dumb..

Yes i have also found that in both free rolls and play money people play insanely loose/stupid. I have had pretty good success in both by tightening up and playing very good hands. One thing i've noticed about playing online is that everyone is so anxious to push it all in. Give a good raise with a solid hand, many people will call or go over the top with something like a KQ or mid pair. I just play tight and it usually works out just fine. It is tough though when your aces get cracked by a 75 suited or something like that.

yeah totaly agree... happens a lot when ppl call my AA all in with some shit .. and win.. can' stand that... i aslo play tight.. but sometimes it doesn't help...

its a freeroll so its not costing them anything, until people are playing with what they consider serious money you will get all sorts of odd play, this goes for the low limit tables as well

That is one of the problems with internet poker. You come across some real morons that don't seem to have any problem calling with sorry cards. Nothing upsets me more than when I go all in before the flop with high pocket pair and lose to 2 4 off suit or something horrible like that.

i have learned that i should look wether i did the right decidion or not... if i lose because some idiot called my AQ s with 43off then i shouldn't care.. but i do care sometimes )

hate that when i playing serious some other plays do some crazy calls so i basicly don't get what i should get.. i offen don't win because of that.. no matter how tight i play i have to play some hands 100%

you answered your question in your own post,,,it was a freroll...there are no rules there,,he thought u had nothing so he called ,,very simple..

It is true, if you tighten up in those freerolls and playmoney tables you'll do better than average. the majority of people are horrible poker players and when they get busted playing with junk, they announce that it's "not real". I chuckle quite a bit while playing but I hate getting busted by junk hands..going all in with kk and some bonehead goes all in with 6 2 and wins.

i think ill start a thread in poker strategy about this.

Maybe he knew you were bluffing concidering you didnt make a bet on the flop then made a small bet on the turn. You have to aggressive and show him your commited to the pot or else bluff is written all over you

I agree some people don't know how to play, but as long as I'm playing disiplined, i will win in the long run.

They play dumb cause sometimes its fun to be an underdog and win with 23 suited against AA,

But not real tourneys I dont accept it, In freerolls I dont mind cause I just fold and wait till all the idiots bust ou, they never make it to the end anyways.!!!

This is what I see people doing at online games, they watch TV and they just want to bet it all, not worry at all they still got 3,000 people in the tourny, or 300.

FInd a style that works best for you, thats is what im trying to learn for myself.

Yes I want a whole table full of them. Why complain about a less experienced or dumb player at your table. I thought thats what we were all looking for.

people that are innexperience andor just dont care play crazy like that, also in freerolls alot of ppl play like that

most people turn on tv and see all in after all in..tv is the reason for bad play!

some people are just not very smart and dont know how to play poker
