why cant i win at NL ring games?

Ok that may not be totally true, I do win, i usually 4 table, my biggest problem is I get that one hand where my ace high flush gets busted by a river boat or something along those lines. How do I either fold that hand or come back from it? Yes I get angry but that doesnt last too long, I just feel like all my momentum is gone and I seem to end up losing 20-30 dollars a session lately and its buggin me.

I am debating getting poker tracker or something like that but I just dont know if it will help me enough or if it will be worth it.

My play style is generally TAG but I will more often than not raise in late position with any marginal hand in attempts to steal if I think the hand will be a winner. I think I need to improve my play from early and middle positions, thats where I lose must of my money, any suggestions or advice?

because you suck!!!!!!!!!!!

nah, you dont have pokertracker

being able to review your hands is very very important, you can find the leaks in your games and figure out if you were just getting unlucky or miss played hands. Pat (the admin for PT) is a great guy and made a terrific program.

Poker Tracker will most definately help you and pay for itsself very quickly. It will help you in situations at the table by looking at Villian's numbers, especially when you have tough decisions to make. It will also help you with improving your play from different positions. You can review all of your sessions, seeing what went wrong, from what position, with what hodings, etc. and plug leaks in your game.

Since purchasing poker tracker my game has improved more then I would have ever thought.

pokertracker will not help you that much during a hand unless you are using pokerace hud along with it. You really dont have enough time during hand to get someones numbers.

alright, maybe someone can help me analyze these numbers as I dont know too much about them yet. These numbers are from my previous session, any criticism is appreciated as long as its not you suck lol.

my VP$IP was 24.41, PFR 5.02, AF-TOT 1.50

and I was labeled SLAP by poker tracker. These numbers good? and if so what do they mean? lol.

quick summary of my session, I lost 10 dollars overall and it was on one hand where I k-10 clubs, flop was 10-7-3, with 7 and 3 being clubs, 4 people went all in, and I called. Thought it was a good play but I didnt get a 10,king, or club obviously lol

Yeah if someone could post a description of all the abbrevs and other stats that tracker gives you, I'd be grateful too.

I went through that stage of my game and I played around with some online tools, but if you get done your outs and percentages you will do fine. If you can recoginize situations from memory recall, you don't have to take the time to look for player stats. You can be thinking about things like; where to spend their money, lol! Try getting some experience on other games. That usuasally takes off some stress of Hold'em. Get your mind on fun and no better way then to learn something new!!! Good Luck!!!
