Where to go for advanced poker strategy I think I have the basics down pretty well and I've been able to get rid of a lot of stupid mistakes that were cloging up my game, but now where can I find the information that can help me develop to all my potential? I have tried one program, black hat poker, but found it to be too basic so I got a refund. I have been looking at royal flush club since they do have a advanced section by Brett "Gank" Jungblut. Anyone have experiences with this? I watched the free videos and I wasn't very impressed.

Obviously first you get all this down; Strategy Articles Then this might help particulars First Poker Books After that you should probably embark on a good long period where you explore each of the concepts in actual games. Personally when I want to deal with a new concept, I often do it in higher stake play money games. Granted they aren't the same as real money, but they ain't bad and cheap is good.

that's a weird response since I did say advanced strategies, most of the things you gave me where basic strategy. EDIT: Might be my bad, didn't tell you enough about my situation. I have so far read the three pack of phil gordon, the theory of poker and zen and art of poker. I want to get to the heavyweight stuff, the things that will take my play from good to superstar. The kinds of things that will help me win the 300k Sunday next time I get in rather than just making the cash.

re: Where to go for advanced poker strategy I would recommend the Harrington series, book-wise. I haven't been impressed with the Royal Flush Club demos I've seen. And by giving them my email, they've sold it to spam lists. Consider Cardrunners or Stox poker. There are some Stox members here on the forum who can say more about it.

Flint, if you find something that you feel is truely advanced stuff, please share it with us. The suggested books, will cover just about all the major concepts of poker in such a way that if you understood all of them, you would be in that advanced category. After that it will be mostly reads, and putting it all together. You seem to be looking for some magic formula, and if such a formula did exist, it ain't been found yet, and if it has, they ain't sharing. ![]()
