What is a two bet or three bet

I have seen this terminology many times. But what does it mean anyone?

Usually used in limit but it can apply to NL as well I guess.

First bet on a street = bet
First raise = second bet = 2-bet
Reraise = third bet = 3-bet
Second reraise = fourth bet = 4-bet (= cap in limit where 4 bets are max)
