it is difficult to double your money....I would advise using better bankroll management and playing the 5-10c tables or even lower and build a bankroll from there

Would be pretty ambitious to double a bankroll of any size in a couple of days. If it were easy, you could double every few days, and turn your $30 into $10 Million in a couple of months.

Play at the limit you are at, and don't increase until you are crushing it, or have increased your bankroll. You might consider cheap SnG's if you want to mix it up a little.

Don't worry so much about doubling your bankroll. Worry about preserving it, and increasing it should come on its own.

Put it all on a single blackjack bet.

You've got about a 48% chance of doubling and 52% chance of going broke, which is much better than your chances playing poker with your mindset.

LOL, I love this comment, but really I don't see what's wrong with his mindset?? I mean he/she wants to double up, and then double that and then double that, I personally don't see what's wrong with that?

Best advice I can give you would be start either at the lower Sit&gos or The double up Sit&gos, and if your really dying for some cash then the .01/.02 levels.

The problem isn't that he/she wants to double up, it's that he/she is set on doing it in 2 days.

Ultimate Bet has some great lower limit SnGs that I would try. I'd start with their .50+.05 SnG and take it from there. You won't double your BR in a couple days, but you should manage to see a steady incline with some solid play.

funny you mention this, as i've actually used the BJ table on Ultimatebet to supplement my SnG play. of course, i've done it with a lot larger BR than $30, but i used to play BJ until i won $1 and then go to the .50+.05 SnG where even in the event of a loss i would come out .45 ahead. if you are looking to try doubling up, this may be a viable option, although on $30 i could easily see you going broke at the same time.

Expecting to double up in two days is a horribly unrealistic expectation.

It means the person underestimates how hard poker is and how wild the swings are, which are two very bad signs.

Poker is not one of these games where you can order a double up, and hope for the best.

Personally I recommend sitngoes on small tables and low stake for the new players, this gives you fast results as well it is an indicator whether you are a donk or a shark.

On the other hand if your only chance is to double up I would play 0,25/0,5 low stake strategy, play tight like one ** and push all in when you get the chance.

Good luck, the bust of bankroll is coming up very shortly

This is actually a tough one to answer. I liked the reply above which stated, 'better to try to preserver your bankroll and increasing will come on it's own'. This is a wise statement for sure!
With $30 as your total bankroll, you may find it very difficult to even build it from there and you can actually count on going broke a few times (especially if you're playing 10NL with it).
It also very much depends upon what your personal preference is for games online (ie. is it sngs, ring, mtts...??). Personally, mine is mtts as this is where I learned how to play poker and currently have been playing for just short of one year. Alot of my initial play came in the form of freerolls so mtt play just became more natural to me.
You could try your hand at micro stakes sngs but on most sites the rake is very high in them (tourney fees of 20 to 25%). Over the long haul it is tough to run with an +ROI of that much for you to even be breaking even. Also, the play in the super micros is super weak at best, with an assortment of 'no foldem holdem' players, some very loose passive trappers and some complete maniacs thrown in there as well. It can be quite frustrating to say the least.
I'd actually suggest that you deposit a bit more to your account if you're actually hoping to build a bankroll, or hit the freerolls for a bit in hopes of adding to your roll &/or at least seeing a bunch of hands for free.
Good Luck on your quest to 'double' up your account. You might just do so in the 10NL but then again, it's just as easy to go right back down to zero. Personally I'd stay away from 10NL until you had at least 20buy-ins in your account (or more.. ie. $200).
Remember too that ring game strategy, mtt strategy and sng strategy are all a bit different... sometimes ALOT different.
(if it's sngs that you end up choosing to play, I strongly suggest that you read up on some sng strategy material cuz most players who are playing in them play them very poorly and are unaware of what a 'winning strategy' consists of (ie. stay tight in early going,..as it approaches bubble, change gears, loosen up and steal blinds,.. also if stack is down, look to double up when you can.. and don't be too concerned with players who seem to be in just about every hand.. they will more often lose those chips as fast as they've gained them).
GL!!
