I think the picture and the results after my HU opponent revealed this little nugget to me (see arrow) tell you the whole story.

Never tell your opponent you're nitty or passive in heads up. They may just proceed to run you over. Notice a lot of the pots are very small -- I just kept raising and he just kept folding.
