| What do your stats say? I've been wondering for a while. While I know it very much depends on the hands you're getting on any given day, but.... I was just wondering what you all think is a reasonable percentage of flops to see in a .10/.25 ring game? |

| My answer was just as vague as your question. If you opponents are passive lags you need to tighten up and only play premium hands as they will call down light and catch crazy hands. If they are super Tight you can loosen up your starting hands and look to stack them with unlikely holdings or steal and push them off of to many hands. I play more lag than other people so my stats when I am running goot, are very different than a TAG's would be. If you are a average player at an average table playing TAG less than preflop > 30% or 20/17/2 somewhere in there. I could be way off here too... I wasn't being a jerk (well maybe a little ) just pointing out that your question depends on so many things that is hard to answer the way you posed it. |

| Well Steve. I appreciate and understand, everything you just said. And, yes, it was vague. Very. I find I that most ALL poker related questions (poker quizzes in particular) are very vague. This is because of the great many variables. Which are what make it such a great game. So your your answer about "an average player at an average table" is just about what I'm looking for. Thanks Steve. |

| I played like 17/14/3 at 25NL. For someone who is rather new to the game, or maybe isnt the strongest postflop player (like someone who's coming from SnG's or MTT's), I'd recommend playing even tighter than that, like 14/12 or 12/9. People are basically giving away money at these levels, so there's really no reason to go crazy and risk outplaying yourself. Obviously as you improve and learn to exploit specific tendencies of your opponents, you should loosen up in order to capitalize on their mistakes. But since the fundamental error of most low stakes players is calling too much, the best way to beat them is just wait for strong hands and take them to value town. |

| It doesn't matter whether you are playing for 10 cents or 10 dollars or 1,000 dollars, you want to win. I have hands I play depending on the position I am in and how they are played depends on what players did in front of me. If you are playing .10/.25 or $5/$10 I personally don't think it should matter. |

| Since Idont have any poker software, I have no Idea what any of these numbers mean, and I had a question. Is the only way to get Poker Tracker or one of the other programs, by downloading it or can I buy it at a software place. I like having disks and booklets for some reason. |

Aggression frequency, IMO is a better indicator of how aggressive players are. But even then, postflop aggression %'s are often misleading. |

| I wouldn't say I have the experience to answer this question definitively. I would say that my experience is that in normal games I fold often. . .more than I actually see the flop in any given type of game. . .recently I've been playing Matrix games at Fulltilt and have found myself seeing maybe 10 flops per table, for the entire round. . .I'm sure that I am missing out on some money; however, I tend to not get smashed and bashed out of many pots, and I tend to linger in most of the games I play. Feel the game and the cards, figure out what's best per game. |

I like around 17/14/5, a bit more aggressive than most here, at FR tables. |
