What to do with 66 in a MT sitngo near the bubble All rought, so here is the situation, I'm in BB. A little below avg chip stack with 3200 chips. Blinds are are 150/300. Next hand they go up to 200/400. 12 people left. 6 people at my table. Spread has 5 playes with 3xxx in chips, one with 4700, and SB with 15,000, we'll call him Mr. BigStack. Everyone fold to the blinds. I have 66. I check. flop comes 773. Really? I think, he wants my blind that bad? I should let you know this is how he got his chipstack, so far in as I can see. He has gone allin 5 out of the last 7 hands. Usually, with marginal hands. One show down, where his 67 suited hit his flush against pocket Kings. Would you call?

HHMMmmmm, lot of info not included here. I figure BigStack is SB? And that he bet post-flop? And how many are paid (hence, how close to bubble)? So, you will soon be with less than 3000 chips, with a BB os 400. That is not good. No, I would not call.....I would go all-in. If he pushed you all-in, EXCELLENT!! PP in a 6 handed game is a monster. Especially if he has been clearly playing the chipbully role. This looks like an excellent opportunity to double up. Any way, playing for ITM might get your buy-in back, but it never pays the bills. TAG is pay off significantly more than passivity. You might get knocked out...bummer. But you might chip up on the way to first.

Close to the bubble, I'd fold in a heartbeat. If he's so aggressive, why didn't he raise you preflop when they folded to the blinds? He could easily be trapping with an overpair to 7s. Best case scenario here, he's got 2 overcards, and you could still easily get drawn out on and busted out of the money.

Not that close to money. It's the hardest part of 45 sng down to 6 on each table with the blinds getting big and coming around fast. I agree with noble here, if you don't push preflop this is a great flop for pp and I call all in against likely bluff. Need mo chips to FT (6 or 7 pay?)

re: What to do with 66 in a MT sitngo near the bubble poker Update: Sorry bout my typos in the original post Okay I called, with the read that he had high card-rag. He had K3 and hit his K on the turn. I would not have called if it was e against the small stacks, b/c they would be more likely to have the nuts. However Mr. Chipstack has been raising just enough to put his opponents all in, trying to pump his stack prior to final table. I am getting mixed reviews about this decision, which is why I posted it originally without the result

Good call, bad result, you weren't going to get better odds to double up and you needed to.
