| Watching (and learning) from the pros on TV At night I usually stay up pretty late and I watch Poker After Dark. Playing short-handed games, it's fun to see how they play their hands and bet. Of course, playing on TV is likely different from playing live, which is different from playing online. What do you all think, how much value is there from watching the pros play on TV? |

| Well one thing you have to keep in mind is that they all know each other and each others games. So when you see someone make a play there is a reason for it based on who they are playing. I think some people see pros do things on TV and then try it themselves and wonder why it doesn't work. Also, most of those guys you see on tv are very good after the flop and can get away from a big hand. That's why amatures can get into trouble playing "trash" hands even though they see the pros play them. |
