Very Odd play Live

Not sure exactly where to put this, but interesting betting patterns in a live game I was in. I wasn't in the hand.

It's a 25c/50c NLHE cash game. Folded around to the button who raises it up to $2. SB folds and BB makes it $6. Button calls.

Don't remember the flop, but BB minbets 50 cents, button min-raises to $1, BB mucks hit hand . Neither player showed but the BB said he "took a shot at it" and couldn't steal it

Yes that is pretty strange. Whenever I play on 25c 50c tables theres always 4 or 5 people in the pot, even after a good raise. Of course they are all rich and don't care about money. Too fold after a 50c bet lol. I don't think your gonna scare anyone off betting 50 cents in the first place.

It was a home game, it's 21 in most casinos here, but Indian casinos are 18+, haven't been to one though, but I'm hoping I can go to one this summer. Unfortunately NY is the closest to me that I know of (I actually live in Maryland although I go to school in Ohio).

But yeah, I've seen this kind of thing online, but never live. $12.25 pot, bet 50 cents, fold to a min-raise, he's getting 13.75/.50 = 27.something = too high to fold even if you're drawing dead. There's always a chance that when you look down at your cards they'll change. You can't count on it, but when you're getting those kinds of odds anything can happen

Re: Zach

I probablyy have the most non-uniform betting patterns around. I simply play smart about 75% of the time, I play exremely aggressive 20 % of the time and I'll fold the best hand 5% of the time.I dunno why but it works forme. However I have downloaded from Rounders radio an Odds Calculator, for the simple fact that I usually play 3 or mor tourneys at once.
