| Urgent: Beating super LAG players at live cash game tonight Hi I've just been offered a seat a home game this evening, NLH. I've accepted the seat as it could be very very profitable. However, all of the players are either LAG or super LAG. I will be the only solid rock-type player at the table. The game will be 6 handed, and I'm up against 5 players who will min raise almost every hand, and call a normal sized raise from me with any two cards every time. So profitable, but I find it very difficult to beat. My strategy is to wait until I have at least top two pair before I give significant action. I won't be playing rag hands so avoid getting myself into trouble and when playing connectors, i'll be looking for trips, straight or flush before it goes in. Also - hands like A-K I will be looking for something better than top pair, top kicker before I give action. The problem however is, they will be getting agressivly into me with middle pair, bottom pair and draws all night. It is incredibly difficult to play against. No regard for money, no regard for losing their money, just wanton gambling. Can anyone give me some good pointers before I leave for this game? Thanks. |

| it might not be a bad idea at least early, to get "caught" once or twice bluffing. let them think that your playin rags or less than big hands, at least some of the time. when you feel you have things where you want, tighten up and go get em. best of luck |

Play at most 100 big blinds deep, 3-bet like its your job with hands that are ahead of their range, and try to get it in on flops with top pair/good kicker type hands. Pretty simple. |

| As mentioned above, tough to beat a very skilled LAG player but easy to beat a novice one. It's great when there's only a couple of them but when the table is full of them can become frustrating (for me anyways,.. I'd opt to grab a seat at another table... in this case a 'different game'). BUT,... in lieu of the circumstances I think I'd set traps,.. let 'em think that I'll lay a decent hand down when my flop bet gets raised, etc.... might induce more action for when I'm leading out w tp pr. tp. kik'r or what have you. I might also lead out on the flop (w grt. but make it look like a typical c-bet/probe bet... 1/2 pot), check the turn (acting as if it was just a c-bet but now too timid to fire 2nd bullet, but meanwhile I'm hangin' onto the nuts or very strong)... then fire again on the river,... (have them used to suckbets at times, 1/3 pot or whatever but then sometimes fire large on river to make it appear to potentially be bs in an effort to steal (possibly setting it up to appear like a mis'd dr. or what have you).
