Turbos??? I am i guess you can say a little above average poker player. I do really good in the Sit and Go's and Pretty good in Big Tournements. I have came in 15th in a 10,000 person tourney and 1st in a 4,700 person tourney. But somehow i get to a Turbo fast paced poker game and can't get close to the money. I was wondering if you 1. have any advice in how to play and 2. any advice in at what pace to play. loose tight ect... Thank you!

Turbos are just more luck based, the rapid blinds means you cant sit and wait for hands or the blinds and big stacks will destroy you, looking at the results you have had on SNGs and MTTs maybe just stick to games where you have some play in your stack and treat turbos as a quick poker fix if you have limited time and play them agressively, I dont think you can afford to play tight as the hands wont come around quick enough to keep your stack competitive.

Turbos are evil in my opinion...they can really level the playing field between everyone. I haven't played a lot of them but it seems like whoever can catch the first rush usually does well. I consider myself probably on the level you are on so I don't like to lose what advantage I have on players by going into something like that. Just my thoughts though.

re: Turbos??? poker Thanks smit i do think it does level the playing field because the bad players can get lucky and win and the good players unlucky and lose. I think they all have to do with mostly luck for the first hour or so...
