Triple draw 2-7 lowball Is it me or this game is pretty much obscure when it comes to strategy, apart from the basic stuff: when to break a 9 or a 10 against x opponents, starting hand requirements and drawing strategies are well covered, but more complex stuff (snowing, knowing when you'r ebeat, etc.) is nowhere to be found. Apart from SS2, wich I think contains a good chapter on 3d 2-7 lowball, what books, site or articles can point me in the right direction ? I enjoy playing it and can hold my own (if not win) the micro limit SNG at PS, but I'd like to include it into my game repertoire for later (when I have the BR to play it...).

I play a few hands now and then at the micro tabkes at PS. I've won big, and I've lost my ass, so I guess that I don't have the game in "Its's statistical density.". |

There is not much strategy simply because it is not a popular game. It doesn't have the excitement of NLHE. Right now it's still mostly a game for the highly skilled players who don't always go with the flow. Even at the lower levels the games are significantly harder to beat than Hold'em games at the same level. So for now... mostly rely on your experience. By the way, congrats on 5k posts nevadanick!

The rage of Poker right now is NLHE. Seems like only a few players know how to play KC Lowball. I wish FT would have more games like KC Lowball, 5 card draw, Badugi, stuff like that. there isn't that much information on those games because the demand just isn't there. The most popular lowball game is Razz and finding information on that is super rare. I haven't seen any books dedicated to Razz.

re: Triple draw 2-7 lowball poker Daniel Negreanu wrote the article about this game in Super System II and fortunately you can find it here: http://www.doylespokerroom.com/poker...draw_poker.cfm

I enjoy playing this game, but I'm not sure what strategy there is to it. What i do is, i limit my self to only discard 2 cards and do my best not get anything higher than "87653". Starting hands that i raise w/ 23457, 23467, 24567 ..., or only needing to discard one card. I can't really tell u what to do w/ 10, or 9 high because most time i would just call and hope i got my opponent beat, standing pat pat through all three draws w/ 9 or 10 high i would try to get 8 high.
