Which method is the best on NL holdem cash game?

I think TA - Neutral is the best.....!

Hmmmm both can work changing gears to diferent play patterns can keep ur opponts guessing GL

Yea..your probably right.. .....,,,,The best combination is probably changing the play to what suits best the table....

I prefer to play TAG when it comes to NLH cash games. Since I dont have to worry about raising blinds, I dont have to worry about being forced into the action. I can just sit back and wait for the big hands. Of course, Im not a nit and I'll mix up my game play by raising and/or playing some pretty marginal hands just to keep my opponents guessing.

It also depends on the table as well. If im at a tight table, I'll loosen up my game a bit and play not so TAG. But if the table is pretty LAG then I'll tighten up and wait to get paid off with my big hands.

With so many tight aggressive players now. I say go crazy. Tight aggressive is good as long as you play alot of pots. I got a loose crazy image it works well for me

So many tight-aggressive? Really? If anything, I say there are a lot more LAG players than TAG players. Maybe not as much in the lower limits...

Also, if you're playing a lot of pots, your image really isnt TAG.

Do you seriously think that becoming more passive post flop is a good idea ?

If so, please explain why?

If anything, I would think there is more of an argument for being passive preflop, and more aggressive post flop (tp-a), than for your position. Your opponents will make more mistakes post flop than preflop (after all, how hard is it to learn starting hand values based on position?). Have you seen the tournament hu match where Gavin Smith proposes to his (amateur) opponent that they agree not to raise preflop at all? Why do you think he wants this (hint: see above)?

Its often not any point to take continuation bet on a flop that cant be bluffed if you have not hit the cards, and you now that the person in front of you are going to call.

Thats why I often play tight aggressive -neutral...... I bluff if the flop is bluff able. ..........

Ore if the person in front of you is bluffable.....I can t see the logic in betting if it is a calling station in front of you and you think you are behind.

all depends on how the cards are falling. but yes neutral in general is best. Ones ability to change gears is key to success!!!

Yes and no.......................

I dont set my opponents on any card if he has not given me any reads preflop.

All flops are not bluffable against every player...

Heres an example for you : a high flop is the easiest flop to take down......

It depends realy on the player who is with me on the flop. Some players I can bet in to with any flop because they will probably fold. It is only with loose players I have to see if the flop is bluffable.

I understand no why TAG is often the most used style..

When I wrote this tread I was playing NL 2... And you have to be playing TA- N in that level to make most profit. Because it is more loose players

But now I am playing NL 20 , and now the best style is more often ( depends on the table)
TA - A

People are so easy to bluff because they are affraid of there money. And because of that, it will work to always play aggressive ( but if the table is becoming more loose it is smart to change to neutral) ,,, Lol.. looks like I am the only on this forum who play TA-N
