| Thought on JT Whats your thoughts on playin JT? Will u call raises with JTs in mid pos from a loose player? Is it manditory to raise in the CO/Button with JTo/JTs? Jus contemplating it as i'm wary bout playin it at times as im mostly dominated by KJ OJ AJ or get sucked out to ppl with J-8/9 (as the 8 or 9 wil b giving u straight possabilites). |

| Before C9 gets here , it depends. Cash, FR, 6-max, Tourney, HU, ??? Generally, Play JTo/s in LP if there are 3+ limpers preflop and those behind are not likely to raise to isolate. Play JTs for a standard raise in an unopened pot if the table is tight. Play JTs for a limp/call (based on stack size) if LP players are loose and likely to raise. |

It's never mandatory to raise. There's times where raising is a superior play but never mandatory. |

| It's a tricky hand because whenever you hit 2 pair with this hand someone has hit a straight draw or a straight, so be careful. With mediocre kicker it's hard to play for top pair value. J-10 can win some very big pots but must be played very carefully. |

| re: Thought on JT poker lmao..you haven't even stated whether cash or mtt in cash you can afford to raise it in any position since u can always fold to a reraise or hit flop hard and win chips..but i wouldn't because J10 is obv rags in cash in a mtt, J10 is rags too unless its the ultimate button or its like u have <8-10 bbs and in lp , u can open shove there..otherwise its a no-touch hand , unless u feel like stealing on tightish tables finally , J 10 is crap unless played in the right positions and vs the right opponents |

But he is right... Someone with A10 or AJ or even Q10 will put you in so much trouble when you hit your pair, hands that people will limp in with to see what happens. I try not to play it and when I do, its either because I have to (MTT low M) or I am stealing the blinds (and can fold it easy) .. |

second question, NO, JT isnt such a great hand in order to make a raise IMO, if you are in the dealer position just limp or maybe raise 2 bb.. folding is also an option however it depends on your stack and your opponents style... |

| re: Thought on JT poker Comment from a donk: I tend to play J10 suited simply for the straight or flush, and those two only. I usually just throw away J10 off suits, or J10 suited when someone has raised (at most I call min-raise). Limping with it is fine with me, and I have shoved before on several occasions in freerolls. |

| i would dump it most likely, dont think you'll loosse to much limping/ calling a raise in position. but on the other hand when there a lot of limpers in front of me i call for sure. Hope to hit a monster flop. (10 or a J alone is not enough) In late position i sometimes get funky with it and raise it up (first in offcourse). But again its most likely a fold to me |

| Depends on many circumstances! In first position throw it away... If you get many callers limp too and try to flop a monster... Or raise in late position if no other player limped or raised before... Otherwise if you try to play really tight just throw them away! Though hands will end up in tough decicions! |

| MTT: Aye it's a tricky hand but if the tables been playin tight i will most allway raise with JTo/s in the button to make the blinds pay. As in the CO it's tricky. depends how the button has been playin, has he been calling ur raises wit a wide range? IF so then i think i can get a lil bit of vaule out of him if he's calling with Ax or low PP. Cash (6max): I tend to try stay away from JTo but JTs is more of a vaule raise, if re-raised it's an easy fold. |

With a small sample size, I'm not sure, but I like to raise with suited connectors in late position, or semi-connected hands like 10 8 diamonds. |

| JT is usually a hand you would fold, unless its suited. Don not be fooled by the temptation of going for a straight, your chances of catching it are very unlikely. Now im not saying you cant raise with JT preflop cause this really depends on the players you are playing and the situation you face yourself in. If your against tight people, then why not, try a move, and if they call, you could always dog your way out. But my advice would be to usually fold this hand since its usually beat by a higher kicker, and the straight is very uncommon. I would however recommend you calling JT suited since it does have quite a bit more potential and money making power. |
