Well that really isnt that bad of a beat. I mean that happens, AA/AK arent bullet proof.
(By the way though, they take 25 cents in rake for a $1 tourney?? Man I thought that 20% at PokerStars was bad enough...)

It was nuts who folded his 8,8 and would have gone on to draw a set of 8's - maybe.

Stars does 10% tourney rake, not 20%. It runs $1.10, 2.20, 3.30, 4.40, $55,5 etc. Tilt's rake is outrageous, IMO. I have a small BR there and really hate playing anything but RM forum tourneys or ring games.

The reason I say above that nuts 'might' have drawn that set of 8's is that FT does not set the entire deck before the deal starts. Cards are requested 'on demand' and there is no guarantee that the flop would have been the 5,8,9 if he were in the hand.

25% is stupid, I agree. To their defense the rake is 10% at higher value tournaments.

So what is the smallest rake anywhere?

I think UltimateBet charges 10% all the way down to its 50c SnGs?

Yes the 25% rake is a bit steep on these games, but I find the fact they're so easy to beat makes up for it.

Thats true, I was playing the dollar SAGs at PokerStars to get into "orbit" (the leader boards) and I had won 7 of my first 9 games. I finished 4th once and the last one my internet crashed so I finished 7th.

If you played the hand, it would flop differently as it is computer and triggered (I think) and anyway, Pocket aren't that great, well ones bellow Jacks anyway, cause chances are, someone playing with a picture, and if they hit, your pockets are dead, so unless you hit trips, bye bye, and as for AA, they are the best pocket you can be dealt, but when you think back, AA mean all-in for most people, or a pot+ raise, and if your opponent gets 2 little pairs they win, 22,33 > AA,__, so In my eyes, Straight Draw, suited cards are good, so 56,67,78,89,910,10J suited are good calling/raising cards

And when you wonder why you are a losing player in the long run the reason is bolded.
Just some friendly advice Lucky
