| Table selecting in cash. When people say table select better at micros do they mean pick tables with high P/F and average pot based on what appears in lobby? Just wondering because surely all tables are affected by how many people have been at it recently. Quite often I start tables just to play cash HU or shorthanded and table ends up with queue of about 5 people due to big pots and like 60% of P/F of what I presume are table selecters. Once the table is full me and the other original players leave and the nits are just sat with each other meaning the table goes the same way as all others. If someone tries to table slect based on stats in pokerstars lobby aren't they all just going to end up on tables like this or am I completely missing something important? I know higher stakes players can select based on people at table but obviously at lower limits this isn't applicable as player pool is big enough and bad enough that you don't worry about who you're playing. |

1) # of mega fish 2) # of fish 3) # of weak regs in that order and try to sit to the left of the weakest players as $ circulates clockwise around a table. |

| How do you pick out how many fish are are at a table at lower stakes though? Do you actually have to watch the tables and see if fish are on it? I hear people say table select better to people at micros but never get how you can choose a weak table. |

| re: Table selecting in cash. poker starting tables is the best form of table selection as fish dont want to wait to get seated so just jump on any table. However table selection is important but seat selection is equally or more important IMO. You need to have a good seat to make the table good, theres no point playing with 4 other regs and a massive 10000BB deep fish if he is sat opposite and the chance of playing in HU pots with him is pretty slim. you will need direct position on fish, one or 2 seats away to the right should be fine. If you play at pokerstars (assume you do due to "plays at") then there is literally no excuse for not doing this as the player pool is hugeeeeeeee |

Firstly, look in the lobby, you kinda want to pick out high players per flop and average pot with also getting a decent amount of hands per hour. When you look at the table, you want to notice stack sizes etc and ensure that its worth sitting down. Then look at the ppl on the table and see if you have no notes etc. Seeing as you play at the stakes often enough, you will notice a few ppl who are regs etc, the less regs the better. Or the less good regs. |

| but players per flop and average pot can be affected massively by somebody like myself starting tables and playing HU against someone which results in a very high players per flop. What I mean is surely most tables with high numbers are recently started tables and not necessarily fish. |
