Table Death Ring Strategy When Ring tables die out, say like 3 or 4 people with some people popping in and out, do you stay and play? If so, what kind of strategy do you play? Myself,...I find it quite lucrative at times. I am usually the last one because of aggressive play. I did suck out on a popper not too long ago. I tend to play it like the end of a tourny. Any thoughts welcome.

I don't like to stick around, because I find that after a table gets to a certain point, people aren't coming to fill those seats. And if I'm not careful, I end up paying the BB just before the hands are canceled. That's throwing money away.

I'd stick around, infact I'll often look to enter a table of 3 or 4 players; a moderately tight table where I can enter as the big stack(or nearly big stack) I will play very aggressively and pretty loose, raising most hands and calling speculative hands if it's cheap. Pots can often be taken down easily preflop or with continuation bets on the flop. Opponents can become frustrated by your style, play back when your strong and lose their stack. Right now I tend to lose at tourneys(which I prefer playing) and then build my roll at cash games. I will never sit at a full table cash games waiting for good hands. 6max games seem to suit me (I'm talking 25c NL and under by the way) Reads are easier, your own table image is easier manipulated and you don't need good hands to win. I'll generally play 2 tables this way(or else I'll play 3 tables and play a little tighter)

It depends on who's left at the table. If there are still fish left, then I stick around until I have their money. However, it is usually all the fish losing and leaving the table which causes there to be 3 or 4 players left, in my experience. In that situation I just get up and find another game.
