Switching to Omaha

I'm going to atlantic city tomorrow, does anyone know what the lowest limit game is for omaha and how much money i should buy in for?

this game intrigues me alot and i heard that the players are bad at the low limit tables here. $$$$$$$$$ for me?

Don't know the answer on the limits...

Have you played Omaha before? It sounds from your post like you haven't, and if that's the case, you might want to reconsider

I have never been to Atlantic City and can`t help with that part of your question.

However, as regards buyin, there are two possible approaches (I`m assuming here we are talking Pot Limit Omaha High-only):

If playing tight, buy in short (30 to 40 BBs) and play premium hands only.

If playing LAG, buy in for sufficient to cover the largest stack already at the table (or for the maximum permitted, if that is lower).

There are advocates of both methods and, as far as I know, no clear consensus as to which is most profitable.

And I'm guessing the lowest limits at AC is 1/2 but maybe 2/5 depending what casino. (not 100% sure since I'm not old enough to go but I know a lot of players that I play with go down often and most of the small blinds for the games are 1/2, 2/5 and I think they said that one is 5/10 but I doubt its Omaha at least not PL) If theres Hi/Low and you understand how it works I would definitely play that because most people don't understand how to play or even starting hands in Hi/Low games so if you can play them and play them pretty well you can rack up a lot of chips in those games. If you don't understand how to play the games as well than search of guides online but I would really practice it some more before going to AC because supposedly everyone there is LAG so you'll have to play a pretty tight consistent game but if you can you could make some good money.

I play in a HOSE game on Sundays and I love when we get to Omaha H/L and Stud H/L even though I'm a hold'em player because i know that as long as i wait around for my hands I will be making a lot of money.
