| Sustainable BB/100 for 2NL 6MAX So my friend tells me that what I currently have for a current BB/100 level is not sustainable (11.67/100). I've achieved this playing a little over 12,000 hands most of which fell within the last week. Is this really an unsustainable level? I could understand when he said that when I was at around 4000 hands but 8000+ hands later the stat remains about the same. |

| Is it really sustainable? I'm not one to really say if it is or not but would be interested in hearing others on it. I don't know anyone who has that high a win rate over a good sample of 100k hands. Even 11bb/100 by possibly the best micro stake player at full ring is quite difficult to achieve but he does it at full ring. I doubt he could keep those stats the same at 6max..no matter how bad they are played and he is without doubt the best or one of the best micro limit players on pokerstars. |

| Def sustainable, I'd say 20BB/100 is sustainable at 2nl. But yeah move up for sure. Quote:
5BB/100 is std for a good win rate at 25nl, not even excellent |

As for your actual comment no I'm not doubting at all, impressed that's why I'm wanting to see who it is but he can't remember the name, which is fine anyway. However, I must admit - you seem so knowledgeable and of such high poker standards quoting me and then correcting me or just following me in most threads I comment in to make some childish comment of some sort. I sense there is a big attractive towards me, or maybe because I'm British and foreigners love the Brits? If you are referring to the guy comment - that was actually done with the fact I'm assuming it's a guy and not a gal but wouldn't want to sound disrespectful if indeed it was a gal who has achieved this. I mean come on, this is a learning forum - what's so wrong with someone adding their own input? I know you still have sour grapes over my last thread for some reason when it was just an opinion based thread. I accepted and listened and took on board what others said including you but no, not you - you have to try and be right about everything you say lol and if someone disagrees you bring out some sarcastic comment. Low and behold, another thread I comment on you have something to say to me, again sarcastically and you can't seem to let go...I commented on you TOTM award, read it and thought it was very good and said that in the thread but for some reason you can't seem to let go of anything and just carry on and on.. I think you need to learn to start accepting people will always have different views and not always agree with what you say, you should respect others opinions even if you don't agree with them. ps: Word of advice from an wiseman - Don't ever become a sheep you will only get yourself in bother in later years, then again I guess it's the learning curve of the young and need to learn from their mistakes. | 11bb at 2nl? I assume 2nl means 0.01/0.02? Your friend is an idiot, 11bb is sustainable anywhere from 2nl to 50nl (and even 100nl or 200nl if you're playing heads up cashgames and only bumhunt guys whose win rate is -5.0bb/100 or worse, I've seen several people with rates above 11bb/100 w/samples higher than 100,000). 12,000 hands isn't THAT big, but it's enough to say with confidence that at the top of your game you can win $x.xx much... I once won $16,000 in a single 50 hour session 4-8tables of 400nl depending on what time of day it was, my winrate was over 14bb after 14,000 hands or so. I've never matched that winrate before or since, or that win total for that matter lol- but the bottom line is I still did it, and so did you with your 11bb. Honestly at 2nl 6max I don't respect anything less than 10bb. I haven't played that low for 6 or 7 years (and I kinda sucked back then =\ way overtight) and even then my monthly bb/100 average never dipped below 25. This applies to 5nl as well, the players are identically reckless / generous. At 10nl and 25nl people start caring about the value of an entire buyin, but the average player is still going to be a joke... 11bb is tough sustain at 25nl and higher, and to sustain 11bb from 10,000 hands for the rest of your career takes JAW DROPPING LEVELS OF SKILL, CONSISTENCY, PATIENCE, AND EXPERIENCE, NOT TO MENTION THAT YOU CAN'T GO ON TILT. EVER. at 2nl 6max, you should be wondering 2 things: 1: What am I doing wrong that's keeping me below 15? 20? 25? - and more importantly - 2: Why the .F.U.CK am I not moving up stakes? (seriously bro move up to 5nl or 10nl at the very least, you've got the winnings to do it with) gl man. -B |

| re: Sustainable BB/100 for 2NL 6MAX poker Wow Johnbarker21 - you must be playing quite the highest of limits at present if you haven't played as low as 2nl for 6-7 years but sustained 25bb/100. What limits do you play now? I'm guessing with your knowing how to sustain 11bb from over 10k hands for the rest of your career you must be one of those people. Would love to see your winrates and stats, if you care to show |

| re: Sustainable BB/100 for 2NL 6MAX poker As in any analysis of your stats, you need a larger sample size than 18k to determine any meaningful patterns. Leak Buster suggests at least 50k to analyze your leaks, and I prefer to do 100k+. Not saying it's not sustainable, I just don't think you will know if that's your actual win rate until you get a much larger sample. Who knows...it could go up. |
