| Surviving the doldrums? Hey all, I'd like to hear your stratergies on surving bad cards over a long period of time. I primarily am talking about MTTs. I've heard that winning strategies don't neccesarily rely on good cards, so how do you all bide your time, handle your stack, while you wait 2-3-4 hours of a dirty dealer giving you junk? Representing to the table that you are a strong player only works until you are moved so I've quit tryting to bother thinking about it i.e. establishing an image at the table. I tend to gradually decide to play crappy cards and end up out of the money.... that certainly isn't the right strategy. Thanks in advance for your input! |

| when im going through a bad run of cards i always like to stick in the ipod to keep me from tilting. i feel it makes me focus more. Also, id advise to play position more aggresivelly. you might not have the best hand but with a tight image and position on your opponent your probably the favourite to win the hand if they have marginal holdings. that is all!!!! |
