Strategy in Re-buy tourneys?

I'm about to register for a satellite live tournament where the buy-in is $30 (for 2000 chips) with unlimited rebuys of $10 for the first hour for 1000 chips each time. The tournament is this coming Saturday.

I've never played in a tournament like this.

Is the strategy for playing in a tournament with rebuys like this different than one where there are no rebuys?

Thanks for your advice.

And remember a couple of things. People will play a lot looser in the first hour because they can rebuy. So expect a little more donk play then. If you play very TAG you will do great. And if you do hit the one jackass who hits runner, runner, runner and bust your trip As, you too can rebuy.

There are a couple of good threads on this and you should check them out. Most people here have a tendency to say play tag and pick off the donks but in reallity most pros play and advocate a much looser approach to rebuys. Have enough to re-buy 8-10 times. Push and call all-ins with a wide variety of hands like any pairs, and 2 face cards, andy ace, suited connectors, etc. The goal is to accumulate a large chip stack. Just having 2-4 times your original stack at the break is going to put you at the bottom of stack sizes. If you are not prepared to re-buy alot you shouldn't play a re-buy. But like I said there are diff approaches. Read some of the other threads and figure out what works for you.
